Update This Kroger still sucks. The employees are ridiculous. To the Kroger Leadership team: Better leadership will attract better employees. If your entire team is trash, time to self reflect and take some accountability.
This Kroger location is a joke. Management is terrible. They tried scamming me out of over $100 dollars. I went to pick up a curbside grocery order. They put all of my groceries in the back of someone else’s vehicle, and tried to give me theirs. I caught it before they started loading things into my vehicle. She argued with me until another associate pointed out it was the wrong baskets.
They went back into the store and after 15 minutes came out to tell me the other customer would be back soon with my groceries… after waiting for an hour I could not sit and wait in the parking lot.anymore. I then noticed that they marked my grocery order as picked up, therefor I was charged! Still with no groceries and patience that is starting to thin, I called into the store. I explained that I just didn’t have time to wait any longer for the other customer to bring my groceries back… (and honestly, I shouldn’t have even had to do that! They should have just given me new groceries) I politely asked for them to cancel my order. She explained that they could not cancel because it was already processed. So I asked for a refund… I work in retail and I know damn well how quickly a refund can be processed. She said she would “get to it later” and I asked when she would process my refund and she told me “When I have time” in a very rude way. Like I had time for them to mess up my grocery order and give it to someone else. Up to this point I was VERY understanding and patient. I asked to speak to a manager. Marty got on the phone and assured me a refund would be processed. Here I am 2 weeks later and have not received a refund. Never thought a grocery store would scam me out...
Read moreI am so done with Kroger. I bought several items at a different Kroger location because I was visiting my husband's grave and it was convenient for me. It was a nearly $150 order and I changed my mind on a few of the items. I assumed that I could return these items to any Kroger. Rather than drive 30+ miles to the original point of purchase, I went to the store that is 4 miles away from me. I mistakenly thought I could return them to the Kroger store that is nearer to my home. After all, they are a chain store -- the stores are not individually owned an operated so it makes sense that you should be able to return at ANY Kroger ... just like you can do if you shop Walmart or Lowe's or Home Depot. No. No. It does not work that way with Kroger. If I want to return the items, I have to drive 30+ miles to do so. The receipt says absolutely NOTHING about terms of any return. Not a single word. Well, I will return the items in a week or so when it is a little bit convenient for me. And I will not be shopping Kroger again. It is just more aggravation than I need in my life. They make shopping there HARD for the consumer. From returns to trying to use the coupons they send to you, they are a major pain to deal with. So, from here on out, Walmart has my business. They make it easy for me to be a customer and that is what I need. If you need difficulty and hassle in your grocery shopping, then Kroger is your store. I do not understand why they cannot accept the return of items from another Kroger that are unused, unopened, and were purchased a couple of days ago. It makes no sense. We can only hope that Kroger will be the next chain store to go belly-up. ...
Read moreNever again!! I have been saying this about this particular Kroger since before Covid. Poorest customer service ever!!! I just left that store at 8:45 AM and there were no checkers! Now I know almost every business is having personnel issues however what I observed at this Kroger this morning was not ok!! There was one lady working a money order cigarette etc. counter, two ladies working the self check out with lines all the way down the aisle and my buggy was full of groceries. I asked to speak to the manager but of course they said he was not there!! My dad owned a chain of 35 convenient stores and I have been a manager of several. I just took one look around that store of all the personnel and there absolutely could’ve been at least one if not two check out counters open!! This is after all December 16! I don’t know if this is a corporate policy of no checkout counters open until after 9 AM or if it’s just this particular Kroger!! If this is a corporate policy you should at least give your customers a room to check out their own buggies FULL of groceries! Every time I ask a cashier a question they just shrugged their shoulders and said no the answer was no sorry we cannot open a checkout line!! Lines all the way down the Isle!! I spend over $100 every time I’ve ever went in that store and I have a shop that store since the 80s!! I spent $149 this morning checked out my own groceries which is fine I am perfectly capable of doing that however no counter space whatsoever!! Never again!! No one cares about customer service anymore!! Ok rant over!! One last thing you will not force me to pay to have my groceries delivered Kroger! I will go to Central Markek or H-E-B...
