The moment we walked in more than 70% (CJs responsibility) of the tables were dirty. We placed a togo order and the server (CJ) was awful. He made us feel like we were bothering him. He kept asking us to repeat our order, and it was because his airpod was in and could not hear us. He went to get the cook (Caleb) and called out our order to him. When Caleb would ask a question to clarify our order, CJ responded to him with attitude and hostility. Another guest walked in to place a togo order, and another family walked in and sat down. Caleb greeted both customers. CJ asked Caleb to help and get the families drink order while he took the to go order. Caleb waited patiently for the notepad. He went to take their drink order and was kind to them. CJ at this point was finished taking the togo order, and Caleb showed him the ticket and telling him what drinks to make. CJ then got upset at Caleb because he wrote the drink order on the bottom of the ticket, and Caleb should have written it at the top. Caleb said sorry and that he didn't know because he is not a server. CJ then gave him the other ticket and told him to "read the the ticket and go make the food". He said this is an extremely belittling tone. You can tell that this upset Caleb, but he finished packaging our food, and started the other orders promptly. We left and told Caleb said bye, and we told him to keep up the amazing work.
My boyfriend went back into the store and said something on behalf of Caleb. He said that CJ threatened to fight him, cursed at him,and raised his voice.
CJ was complaining about his job and just walking around til his shift ended at 9. Caleb was running the store.
CJ was insulting Caleb's intelligence, rude, LAZY, condescending, hostile, patronizing, and belittling. Caleb is exceptional. I commend Caleb on his work ethic and his patience.
I have been coming to the store for years, and I will not be back if CJ is still employed there. The toxic and hostile work environment is not something I will support.
I give this location 5 stars because normally the staff is friendly and hardworking. However, CJ does not represent the core values of a healthy work...
Read moreWent there today (7/27/22) at 2130 with my two girls and we had a blast. It should be noted there was only lady working there. It was slow though, but still. Place was clean as were the bathrooms. Our table wasn't sticky, greasy or dirty and neither were the bench seats.
She didn't seem rattled to be alone and took our drink order and promptly came back with them. She took our food order, a couple walked in, she greeted them and got their drink order and served them. They needed time to think about what order. She started cooking our order and the couple wanted two waffles. She started their waffles, continued cooking and finished our order. Served the food except for one of the cheesesteak sandwiches, showing my daughter it was burnt, apologized and was going to make it again.
By then, another gentleman walked in and he ordered coffee and something to go. She refilled my coffee, asked the girls if they wanted refills and was advised, "no, but tyvm." She pulled the waffles and served the couple. I don't think they chewed at all but inhaled them. She finished cooking for the lone gentleman, containered it, he paid and left. She finished cooking the cheesesteak sandwich and served it to my daughter. We finished, left all the cash we had and tipped her well when paying. The couple was still there talking when we left and she was refilling their coffee's. Very sweet, professional, never complained or said anything negative. Probably the best service I've EVER had especially based on the fact she was alone. Lady needs a...
Read moreAttended this Waffle House 4/23/2017. Late night meal. Really hungry. Walking into the dining area I can tell its busy but no idea on what scale it was busy. Ended up waiting 1 and a half hours for an overcooked steak and some scrambled eggs. Order was originally four scrambled eggs, bavon and steak. My fiancee ordered a waffle, two eggs over easy, hash browns and sausage. Never got the sausage or bacon, or refills of coffee. Or sprite. I understand that busy businesses have their ways of handling things but while I'm waiting this entire hour and a half, a man who seems to be the manager is just slowly washing the dishes and letting out deep sighs. The two primary cooks? One, an elderly man spacing out as if he's trying to comprehend how to flip an egg and another, a woman, laughing off her mistakes but continuing to make mistakes. Still, laughing when our poor waiter is expressing that the customers in the dining area are growing impatient. By the end of the dining experience after not receiving what we had ordered and overstaying our time, four groups maybe five of customers had walked out. The manager that ran this establishment tonight needs to be reevaluated and both cooks need to go back to home education class, of second grade level. The waiter did...
