Bottoms Up Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Fortuna Foothills

When the reviews say this is a locals bar I guess the establishment takes that serious. My husband and my brother in law were refused service based off their California ID’s. When asked why they didn’t except CA ID’s the female bartender who also claimed to be the manger said “we don’t want you guys here,” patrons at the bar then all began to laugh. I’d really like to think my husband and BIL were denied service due to their CA ID, but there is a very specific type here and my BIL states he received many dirty looks from patrons and the bartender/manager as soon as he walked in. We heard allot of good thiings about Bottoms Up, and the food was great. The patty Melt was hand patted and the Bone-In Wings were fat. However we were there at high noon on Tuesday, and 3 out of 5 customers at the bar were stone cold drunk as skunks. The conversation was not as fun or funny as they think. It was so annoying to hear them talk about how they look naked while trying to have a nice lunch. The bar tender encouraged them by telling her own off key jokes and pretty much ignored how rude it was for the non-regulars. The bar tender brought our bill - read to us how much we owed and crumpled up the bill before we could see it... Not a place I will reccomend...

Came across a Facebook post and decided to try this place out. We very rarely eat out but this is becoming our new go to place. I have eaten here 3 times the past three weekends and let me tell you..the breakfast is delicious. Hashbrowns are to die for. Takes a little bit but the wait is so worth it!
