Steam Coffee & Cream — Restaurant in Fountain Inn

I apologize for only just now posting this review. I’ve been to Steam a couple dozen times because I love it so much. The owners are the absolute sweetest and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Trust me! I’ve tried at least ten different drinks (lattes, frappes & iced coffee) and have not caught them slipping. They are the real deal!

Before moving to Fountain Inn, my husband and I would drive around and look at the town and walk the Main Street to feel like locals. We stopped in at Steam and instantly felt like we belonged. The art, the aroma, and the friendly service just can’t be overlooked.

I have found so many more reasons to pop in since that first time. One of my favorite parts about visiting Steam is the art and local vendors that you can find right inside. This place is literally the hangout spot Inn our town. The way the seating is set up you can enjoy coffee with a friend or go there to meet new friends. There’s plenty of space to social distance if you’re extra cautious. All the workers wear their masks also (just want to throw that out there).

My husband is not a coffee drinker, but the smoothies and pastries are a big win for him. There is something for everyone on the menu! I think that covers it all, be sure to say hi when you see me and my family hanging out at the best coffee...

So I was a little torn on this one! The couple that runs it is kind and I understand what they're trying to do, and maybe it's exactly what Fountain Inn needs! And if I lived in Fountain Inn, I'd probably go there a few more times to really get a well-rounded, thorough experience of their food and coffee.

However, I won't be driving 25 minutes from Taylors again. It just was a really underwhelming experience. I got the coffee flight, hoping to get a great sampling of what they offer, but what I got was barely coffee with too much flavored syrup, and whipped cream on top. I only drank it to stave off a caffeine headache, but it was honestly gross. I also got the breakfast bowl, and was really disappointed to receive a very small bowl containing a couple scrambled eggs with clumps of melted cheddar, and a sausage patty sliced up on top. They had sandwiches which looked better than my bowl, and pastries that looked really yummy as well, but I didn't get them.

So all in all, if I wasn't 25 minutes away, I'd give them a few more visits before putting in my final thoughts. But unfortunately, is not worth...

I visited Steam and Cream for the first time this morning and I am super impressed! I was a little disappointed when I arrived,after placing my order online, and realized that they hadn’t known about it…But Chris (I believe) mentioned that they had just started using the online ording…..which made the situation understandable. I’m not an impatient person and I definitely don’t mind waiting, especially when the atmosphere is so relaxing. The shop itself is just a very welcoming space (Kudos to the decorator)! Anywho, after a while Chris came by with my order and ,I’m not sure why, left very quickly. I was barley able to thank him. The coffee , hot chocolate,and breakfast sandwiches are Amazing! I will definitely...
