Visiting Fountain Inn and stopped by for a mid-afternoon lunch. Several other patrons were also there. Not at all crowded.
Not trying to be a negative review, this is just our experience here.
No menus were available, but only after we asked for menus. We were told updated menus were not in yet. We had already searched the website for a menu after waiting a while, when we were advised that the on-line menu was pretty accurate, except for pricing,
Food quality overall was good. We had the Cuban Sandwhich (chalkboard item) Chicken Wings, Fried Mozz Sticks and Onion Rings (chalkboard item)
Cuban Sandwhich was good, although ordered w/o saurekraut, it arrived with it. Sandwhich was on Panini bread which made it filling. Actually had some left over to take with us.
Chicken Wings (hot), qty 5 (on-line menu -6) price was $1/wing. They were meaty, and also pretty good. While I prefer a hotter sauce than served, these were not too hot and still enjoyed them.
Onion Rings orders included a small qty of rings, I don't recall actual count (had both large and small indiv rings) but a bit disappointed in qty . Something like maybe 8 pieces in the order and several were smaller inner rings. I feel they could have been cooked a little longer to make the coating crunchy and firmer. Not undercooked, but a lot closer to undercooked than crunchy.
Mozzarella Sticks (6) were both good quality and size. A bit larger than expected. That was nice. These were cooked similar to the Onion Rings.
Only had water for drinks.
Service left us wanting. so maybe a little
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLove this place and Iām not even local. My parents live in Fountain Inn and every time I come out here to visit THIS is my watering hole. The staff is always friendly, the owners and operators (Steve and Stacy) are amazing people. Sonja, my bartender the past couple nights has been amazing tentative and engaging. This place deserves a visit. They do events like karaoke, live music and trivia that offer a good reprieve from the day to day monotonous stuff. Canāt wait for my next visit!!!!
UPDATE: so google wont let me post more than one review so I wanted to come back here and shout out the bartenders on my last night in town before heading back home to California. Thank you Caroline and Joey for taking care of me and for the conversation. Look forward to seeing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had lunch at Fountain Inn Taproom. We enjoyed our experience until we got home. To our surprise, one of the two growlers we purchased was busted open on the side, and all the beer was leaking through the bag and onto the floor of my vehicle. We spoke with the owner, and he said his growler bottles would have to be hit hard for them to break. The bottles were not left unattended and never hit anything hard. The owner does not stand by his product and would not refund any part of the purchase. He sold a faulty growler to us that ended up costing us over $30, including the bottle. So don't purchase their bottles if you want any of the beer from there. Because you may never get...
