Original Tommy's — Restaurant in Fountain Valley

Tommy’s is hands down one of my favorite fast food places to frequent when I’m in Cali! Not too frequently though because their food is definitely heavy and will make you gain weight just from staring at it.

But there’s something about their chili that’s just different than other places. I’ve been going to Tommy’s locations throughout Southern California since I was a kid and my order is always the same. Chili cheeseburger with chili, cheese and onions only. Then chili cheese fries on the side with added onions. I highly recommend if onions are your thing, but obviously omit them if you don’t want to have strong onion breath for the next 24-48 hours.

Service has always been good at this specific location. The drive thru can have a little bit of a wait depending on the day and time that you go but it’s honestly worth it to me. Nothing can really compare to Tommys chili cheeseburger and chili cheese fries! It just hits the spot every time.

I’ll post pics with my review but be warned the fries I order is literally SMOTHERED in onions. It’s on the cheese burger too but you can’t see it as much.

I no longer will come here because of Mauro. I saw a promotion for $2.99 chili cheese fries. I ordered via drive through and was charged full price. I paid with my credit card, but thought it was strange. Turns out that you have to mention the deal to get $2.99 chili cheese fries. I mentioned to Mauro about the deal. Mauro’s response caused me to never come back. He said he couldn’t refund me the difference and there was nothing he could do. It was black and white to him. I asked him if he was sure and he said yes, nothing he could do to help me. I paid for my food and parked my car and called the corporate line. I got into touch and spoke to Gracie from corporate. She spoke directly to Mauro. She told him to refund me. Mauro said “yeah no problem” to Gracie. But while he gave me the refund he kept giving me an earful about how it was my fault and I shouldn’t be getting this refund. I explained to the cashier that earlier that day the drive though worker got my order wrong and I ask to speak to the manager ( Jessica ) ,the cashier ( Good worker ) was explaining the Manger ( Jessica ) in Spanish and they both were having a discussion, I ask why are you two speaking in Spanish and the manager ( Jessica ) said cause she wanted to (barley ) speaking English , I said it’s rude to speak in Spanish while I’m right here about me an she replied it’s not about you ,I'm a black man but I speak fluent Spanish and I explained to her what they were saying and I said she didn’t have to lie it’s just inappropriate to speak another language in front of a person about the person and I ask the manager ( Jessica ) for her name and she said she doesn’t have to give it me and walk away..Very unprofessional service go to McDonald’s or jack in the box instead of Tommy’s their...
