I recently had the pleasure of dining at RA Sushi, and I must say that it was an extraordinary experience, all thanks to our server, Francis. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, Francis provided exceptional service that truly elevated our dining experience.

Upon arrival, Francis greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel welcomed right away. She guided us through the menu, offering valuable suggestions and answering all our questions with enthusiasm and expertise. Her knowledge of the dishes and her passion for the cuisine were evident, and it made our decision-making process much easier.

This was quite the poor dining experience. Food is massively overpriced for starters. For the price of eight pieces of nagiri sushi here you can get thirty pieces at other restaurants half a mile south with superior (more fresh) fish. Most of my fish was barely thawed and had aged to the point the meat was degrading and spilling out the overpowering fish flavor. Next a bowl of pork chashu ramen was ordered. The broth was incredibly bland, the pork looked and tasted as if it was simply boiled earlier and thrown in at the end and to top it off they didn’t even use ramen noodles (the literal definition of ramen). Udon noodles were used in place which are five times thicker and more chewy than ramen noodles for those that don’t know. Another main course was even worse. A Scallop Sushi dish was ordered. This dish somehow was covered in a marinara/carbonara hybrid sauce that was simmering. Not only was this horrible sauce out of place in a sushi restaurant it was simmering and poured on the Scallops. This sauce ended up cooking, and subsequently overcooking as it sat waiting to be served, the scallops beneath it. We were served rubber balls smothered in horrible Italian sauce in a Sushi restaurant.

Service was also abysmal, the server taking twenty minutes to take our order and then waiting, his fault or not I don’t know, to inform us that one of the orders was not available two minutes before everyone else’s orders were about to be served (forty minutes later). Except they brought out half of the complete meals. The other half were left either to get cold or overcook as they sat there on the hot grill. The server never offered to refill beverages and took half an hour to bring us our check after the last dish was cleaned.

I am just flabbergasted by this place. I have no idea if other locations are like this but this is deplorable and...
