I really wanted to like this place. I have been so afraid to get a haircut because I moved to this area about a year ago and have not had a decent haircut since I’ve been here. They reassured me that the person who was cutting my hair was very good with short haircuts. But to my surprise this wasn’t the case. All I wanted was literally the most simple haircut there can be. I wanted the same length all around, just 1 inch taken off. But it was just a horrible hair cut! I also have a cartilage piercing and they nicked behind my ear stating that it looked “infected” how could it be infected when it was fine before I came in and then you cut it with your hair brush?? I was so offended !!. So offended that I had to hide my pain because I didn’t want the hairstylist to feel bad about it!! My ear was bleeding so much that I had to apply pressure over a sink and I ended up getting blood all over my hair. I had to treat my ear for 2 weeks with saline flush and antibacterial. I came out 66 less in case, I also spent more money on my piercing treatment. And to top it off I have to hide my hair behind a bun! I am not at all confident enough to wear my hair down bc it’s just not a good haircut at all. I had high hopes for this place. I’m so disappointed. I did my part and did the research to make sure I would be happy here, but I wasn’t. Now have to go out of state to get a haircut because it cannot be met here ???...

I can’t say enough about Victoria and the whole salon team! Without realizing that pregnancy and childbirth would also change my hair, I came in for a color correction and haircut. It took 6 hours, 3 treatments, and the whole team to get us where we wanted to be. During this time I never saw anyone get frustrated or annoyed with me or each other. There was a sense of camaraderie between staff and compassion towards me and any other client impacted by the situation. Again, I came in to get another person’s work corrected and not once was a bad word spoken about their work. I felt as though we were on the journey together to have me feel and look beautiful. Opting to go for a big change with a pixie cut Victoria was amazing to help navigate the change and teach me how to style it. Two weeks and one wedding later, I still loved my hair and experience at Gadabout- especially Victoria, Paloma, Alena,...

I had a gel manicure done before Christmas. The service and staff were great, however, after one night the gel peeled off my thumbs after removing my socks. Then the next day when I washed my hair all of the gel came off my nails in sheets. I was so frustrated as this has never happened to me before and I wanted my nails to look nice for Christmas and New Years. They got me in again and re-did my nails. Unfortunately, a few days later my nails peeled off again. It was very upsetting to pay $70 for a gel manicure that lasted 1 day, come in again to fix it, and again it lasted only a few days. Gadabout did call me for feedback. She offered to have me come back again but I couldn’t because I was going to be out of town. She said their manager would get back to me to fix the situation.
