As a resident of the local area, we make an effort to show support to all businesses within the community. The first area of concern pertains to the maintenance of the piers, specifically in regard to loose boards that present a significant tripping hazard. Upon arrival, we experienced a delay of approximately 7 minutes before receiving any acknowledgment after being seated at our table. Despite there being only four patrons present, the waitress provided only three menus, highlighting a lack of attention to detail. It was evident that the waitress struggled to operate the handheld POS system and became visibly flustered, admitting to her uncertainty and need to restart the process. This points to a deficiency in management's training practices. Our order for an appetizer coincided with the arrival of our main dishes, with the explanation being that the kitchen was busy, despite us being the sole table inside at the time. The Orange Honey Chicken dish was disappointing, featuring dry and chewy diced chicken with minimal flavor of orange or honey, accompanied by just a single chopped mandarin orange section on a disorganized hot dog bun. Furthermore, our requests for a side salad without dressing and a side of ranch for the fries were overlooked by the waitress, even after a reminder. The upcharged Garlic Parmesan fries lacked sufficient parmesan and were overcooked, and the accompanying ranch dressing was unrecognizable due to an excessive amount of spices. The Warlock dish had a poor consistency, resembling diced potatoes and was unappetizing after just a few bites. The waitress neglected to check on our table throughout the meal, only inquiring about the quality of the drinks and failing to address the food. With a final bill totaling $129 for four sandwiches and four drinks, we found the overall service and food quality to be substandard, marking this as our worst experience with this establishment on the Chain. While we typically refrain from writing negative reviews and simply choose not to return to unsatisfactory establishments, the exorbitant prices and lackluster offerings prompt us to caution others against spending their hard-earned money at this establishment. Given the initial promise conveyed through the menu's narrative, we were left disappointed by the lack of pride exhibited in both the food and...
Read moreThis was my first visit to this local establishment. I went with my son to check it out and have a quick bite to eat and sample a few beers.
It was nice that if you are curious about a particular beer, they will give you a little taste sample and I appreciated that as an option before purchasing a full glass. The beer was excellent and the options and flavors were just enough to please any palate.
My son had the cheese curds and they were the most unique I have ever had. It was like a soft cheesy potato bite but with cheese, fried to the perfect crispness. There was a nice side dipping sauce which he enjoyed.
I got the build a burger and I must say it is one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. We split that, so he could also try it. The salt was perfect and it was as juicy as you would want for a hamburger.
We went on a Friday afternoon, so the pace was relaxed and the atmosphere was chill. We were able to meet the owner and had a wonderful conversation about business and life which made the day even more fun and enjoyable.
As an at home chef and life long self employed person I could easily relate to running a business and the quality of food they are putting out. Every day is a grind to keep the business going and make the customers experience the best it could be. They hit the mark for me!
Back to the beer. Excellent! flavorful and with the options in sizes you could explore a little more with the flavors they offer. I would go back and hope to visit them again soon.
Last but not least is the view of the lake and the service of the staff! That makes this a 6 star review for me! They were on the mark with attentiveness...
Read moreWe had a mostly great experience. The atmosphere is nice and the setup is beautiful by the water. The beer garden is nice to sit and watch the boats.
We went on a Sunday evening when they closed at 7, and we showed up at about 530. It's important to note because apparently the kitchen closes about an hour before the rest of the place. We almost didn't get to order because we had to wait to order because there was only one person working the bar, the beer garden, expoing food. Our service person was actually really nice and she was great.
I feel bad leaving only 3 stars for service because it wasn't her fault but they definitely need more service staff for how busy it was on a Sunday.
The food was awesome. The grubby burger is on point. Highly recommend. The fries were amazing as well. Our one kiddo wasn't a super fan of the orange chicken sandwich but said it was OK.
Overall we had a good time, and I would really love to try this place again when it's maybe not so busy or they have more...
