I am a repeated customer of Rosati's restaurants and have ordered from several different locations over several years. I have had a few small complaints with their service or food over the years. However, they have always been very good about compensating me for such, and keeping me a happy customer. Today though, after placing an order for delivery, I was very dissatisfied. Upon delivery of my food and unpacking it, I realized that I was sent a container of sour cream that had a rather large patch of mold in it. I was very surprised to say the least, not to mention, grossed out, no longer hungry and apprehensive about the state of the rest of my order. After thoroughly checking the rest of my order, I immediately called them to explain my complaint. As usual, I was promptly apologized to and issued a credit for my inconvenience . The manager said that he would definitely check the remaining supply of sour cream containers for any more mold spores, as I emphasized the importance of doing so to make sure that no other customers would have the same incident occur to them. I emphasized this to prevent customers from even being able to be in the positon of accidentally ingesting it. Although, the manager was very good in resolving this issue, I still felt that I should document this so that anyone reading this will proceed with extreme caution and check food carefully before eating. Footnote, this incident was involving the Fox...
Read moreOk, listen up. I am Italian. Which means, I know "good food". (Because, my relatives "can COOK!" ... ... When I moved to Lake County, I went from "one restaurant, to another", looking for good pizza. ... THIS Rosati's in Fox Lake, has the BEST "thin crust, cheese pizza", I have EVER had. The combination, of the the sauce, (which is perfectly sweet, and not not overwhelmingly "tomato tasting", like it just came out of a: "Hunt's Tomato Sauce Can", (like SO MANY, OTHER "Pizza Places", taste like.) ... The combination of this Rosati's "sauce & cheese", combined with their thin crust- is VERY GOOD (WHEN cooked correctly)... I must admit, that TWICE, the employees, DID burn my pizza... but, I have ordered from this place, at least 40 times... so, I'm willing to let, those 2 times, "slide"... because, things like that, "just happen", when restaurants are super busy. ... I have NEVER written a review, for any restaurant before. But, there is something about this place's "thin crust, cheese pizza", that just causes me & my family, to CRAVE it, on a weekly basis. It's PERFECT, and I am going to have a HARD TIME, finding any place, that compares to it, when I move, this summer. (My company is transferring me, out-of-state, and normally I would be thrilled, but finding "good pizza", is always a big, and annoying process.) ...
Read moreI have had Rosati’s fried chicken and calzones which I’ve had no issue with. This review is regards to their pizza and the pizza I ordered. The Hawaiian was terrible. Note: I did not order a pineapple pizza. The pizza was soggy, so soggy it seeped through the box and the crust started sticking to the box. The person who prepared the pizza dumped copious amounts of the pineapple in the pizza. They used no discretion regarding combining tomatoes and pineapple on a pizza. It was so terrible the toppings slid off the crust and water drained off each slice. After one piece, the medium pizza immediately went into the trash.
The manager did provide a credit however that does not help resolve things in the future with other customers who will order a Hawaiian pizza. Also I chose this franchise over a competitor down the street. Next time I will try the competitor.
See photos. That’s just one slice of the pizza. Most disappointing disgusting...
