I was looking for a lunch spot with a menu that offered something a little different—something that could satisfy my unique palate—and this place absolutely delivered. They had a wide range of options that immediately caught my eye.
I wasn’t sure what to expect vibe-wise since I wasn’t exactly dressed up, but any hesitation melted away the moment I walked in. I was greeted by Luke, the owner, wearing a bright pink Hawaiian shirt that perfectly matched his warm, welcoming smile. Instantly, I felt at ease.
He offered me a few seating options, and I chose the bar. Luke made sure I had water right away and let me pick between scanning a QR code or using a tablet for the menu. I went with the tablet. He also gave me his personal recommendations, which I appreciated. I decided to start with the rangoons.
Then I met Colin, the bartender, who suggested his watermelon margarita. I usually go for a sugar rim, but I took Luke’s advice and tried it with a sugar, salt, and orange rim—and wow. It was such a good match with the watermelon flavor.
The rangoons arrived and they were soooo good—especially when paired with the fig duck sauce. The flavors didn’t compete with each other; instead, they worked together in a perfectly balanced sweet-and-savory bite.
Next up were the miso carrots. This dish was a flavor bomb in the best way. The rich miso and soy elements were grounded by the creamy garlic Greek yogurt, while fresh cilantro added brightness. The peanuts gave it that extra bit of crunch I always love. Everything on the plate played so well together—it was thoughtful and delicious.
Overall, I give this place a 10/10 for the food, service, and atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and will absolutely be back—next time, I’m...
Read moreI was in Mass for business and decided to stay in Framingham because I was told there were some good places to eat. I visited a couple other places that were ehh. I’m a big foodie and bourbon drinker so I decided to try and find a place with a good bourbon list. I stumbled upon what better place than somewhere that has the word bourbon in the name. I looked online at the menu and was sold! It was a little hard to find but well worth it. Given that I work in marketing and my wife owns a restaurant, my expectations are always high. The ambience was welcoming and was greeted with smiles so first impression, checked off. Initially when I sat at the bar I was greeted immediately with kindness although it wasn’t that busy yet. Bartender was nice and attentive at first but once they got busy it went downhill from there. No one at the bar checked on me to make sure my food was good. FYI I had the Korean BBQ burrito bowl which was so good! I ran out of my drink and water which sat there empty for at least 15 minutes. Thankfully there was a POS right next to me so I said “when you have a moment” and the bartender responded. Took 5 minutes for him to come back to ask what I needed. I ordered one more drink and was done. I don’t know if it’s normal in Massachusetts that service is not great or maybe I have “visitor” written on my face but every restaurant I went to had blah service but great food. I saw all the locals getting great service and attention. Hopefully next time the service will be better because I would have spent another $100 on...
Read moreMy significant other and I visited Bourbon's for dinner and I definitely wanted to look at the bourbon menu... What a huge selection. Our waiter Jack was super friendly and knew enough about whiskey and particularly their selection to be helpful in making my choices. The owner came to our table and gave me a complimentary sample of rum. The food was good. I had a cheddar burger (tasty) and upgraded my fries to their truffle fries (delicious)...and my gf had a chicken salad. My burger was cooked as requested and came with a huge cheddar skirt and overall we enjoyed the meal but the whiskey is the star here! We're going to go again this week for another sampling of their great whiskey menu! UPDATE - We went back for dinner in the middle of the week and brought friends (it's that good). We asked for Jack and we were told his section was outside, so we sat outside. I had The Perfect Burger. They did not ask how I wanted it cooked and it came to the table medium well. This was better (in my opinion) than the Double Cheddar Burger. I particularly enjoyed the special sauce on the burger. I once again chose to upgrade the fries to truffle fries and was not disappointed. As you can see, I ate every bite and will give 5 stars for this dinner. I had the Penelope flight of whiskey which was fantastic... And finished the meal with one of their high end whiskey choices (Rio). We had a great time, the food was great, whiskey outstanding, and I'm looking forward...
