Crescent Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Frankfort

We've had a home here for years and have visited this bakery often. I walked into the Crescent Bakery this morning and asked for a DOZEN doughnuts. Common order. The young man behind the counter repeated "A Dozen?" so I know he heard me. I picked out the doughnuts, drove home, opened the box and there were only 10 inside. It specifically mattered, as we had company and had had a special request. I drove back up there with the box, spoke to the same young man and asked for the two I wasn't given. He proceeded to look through the entire transaction run on the register and then told me that he had only charged me for 10 doughnuts. Who buys 10 doughnuts? He said I needed to run to my car and get $3.00 more in order for him to correct the order. What? HE made the mistake and it was an inconvenience to me to have to drive back. Talk about irritating. The least he could have done was to put the two doughnuts in the box, apologize and send me on my way. I went to the car and got him the $3.00. Had I not had company, I wouldn't have spent another dime there. And, BTW, it was not busy. It was early morning and only one other customer was there. Normally, I understand; mistakes are mistakes. This young guy, however, needs to be trained in customer service and customer relations. He's not good...

Absolutely horrible customer service from the store Manager. Mr. Adrian was very rude and would rather give a refund vs making sure my order was correct. I prepared for my order and when we arrived to pick up our order they said the pretzels will not be done till 11:30 am. When I made the order they said come by in the morning to pick them up (it's a prepaid order) now we have to wait additional 40 minutes. Mr Adrian says he can't get my pretzels because he is talking with me about their mistake!!! Absolutely horrible CUSTOMER SERVICE. Editing my review after receiving my pretzels. After waiting 50 minutes they said it would take another 30 minutes!! So the lady running the counter suggested they refund my money! Another worker found my 2 boxes that have been made and sitting at the bottom of the rack!! I work in the customer service business and the only option is great customer service is standard. The pretzels are 5 star worthy!! Hopefully this isn't standard service for...
