Just walked out of this place after an average meal. I don't write many Yelp reviews unless it's really great or pretty bad. This place was the latter.

When we walked in there was a bit of a line. The guy seating us took the people behind us first because they had a reservation. Fair enough I guess but I didn't know getting a reservation meant waiting in line less... the people with the reservation even pointed out twice to him that we were there first.

He came back to seat the two of us and told us all he had was bar seats. That was ok. We sat down. Then 5 minutes later another couple walked in and he told them they had a table. Well, we were there first and would have liked a table. Guess he liked the way they looked more than us? Who knows.

We order the food and it took 45min for a burger and a chicken sandwich to arrive. The place wasn't packed but it was busy. Still felt like it took too long.

The burger was average and the chicken sandwich had an onion ring that was fried hard as a rock. The burger was medium well like we asked though and the chicken was fully cooked through so we were able to eat.

Prices were also on the high side for the...

Incredible Food, Amazing Staff, and Fantastic Specials!

Old Town Grill & Tap is easily one of my favorite spots in Frankfort! The food is always top-notch—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The smoked brisket sandwich is a personal favorite, and their ribeye never disappoints. Every meal feels like it’s made with care and quality ingredients.

What truly sets this place apart is the outstanding staff. They are warm, welcoming, and go above and beyond to make sure you have a great dining experience. Their attentiveness and friendly attitude make every visit enjoyable.

I also have to mention how much I love their specials! They always have something new and exciting to try, and it’s clear that a lot of creativity goes into their menu. Whether it’s a unique twist on a classic dish or something completely unexpected, the specials never fail to impress.

If you’re looking for amazing food, incredible service, and great specials, Old Town Grill & Tap is the place to be....

Skip the Old Town Grill & Tap when in Frankfort. We should have known when we walked in at 730 on Saturday night and there was only one other table. Food is edible, and not much more than that. I had the seafood flatbread, which tasted like it was a frozen pizza warmed up in a microwave. The lobster roll was a complete joke. They are kind enough to admit it is "lobster salad" on the roll, which I would question if there is any real lobster in it. It is simply a shredded mess, with a slight lobster flavor. The $10 bowl of lobster bisque did not contain a single chunk of lobster. The Cuban flatbread was the best thing at the table, but still underwhelming. Our server was friendly, but clueless. Had to leave the table to "go check on that" with any and every question we asked. You couldn't pay...

We stopped in for lunch. We got a seat right away. We sat at a booth. The booths are a little uncomfortable. The seat is short and the booth is raised so your feet can not touch the floor, there is a rail behind your feet to rest them on. For lunch the prices are high $20-30. We got the walleye sandwich and bacon hamburger (the sandwich comes with chips). Also got the whitefish pate. The sandwiches were good, the pate was meh. They do have a nice bar and local beer on tap. They also have some outside seating. Parking is very tricky because there is only street parking. They do have some table seating for wheelchairs. The server was nice. Once we ordered food we got it within 15 minutes.

My husband and I stopped on our M22 trip. Atmosphere was cool and clean. Trendy without trying too hard. A server resembling Post Malone gave us outstanding service. He was quick, knowledgeable, and attentive. We ordered the brisket and ribeye. Both came with carrots and cheesy potatoes. Was hands down the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Huge servings. Everything handmade. 5 stars!

Traveling foodie here. Hit this spot on a whim and wow was I impressed about the menu. They recently updated the menu so please see the photos. I had the old town prime burger medium rare. Not only was it cooked to perfection but the design of the burger was excellent. If you want carefully articulated dishes please stop by. It is worth the stop.
