FrankZ — Restaurant in Frankfort

The restaurant looked fine, however, the food is awful. The hotdogs here are very over priced (especially considering they charge an extra dollar for natural casing), and of very poor quality. My dog was grey and completely tasteless. The chili was bland and greasy, and the tiny sprinkle of cheese on top did not even remotely begin to justify the exorbitant cost for such a subpar dog. Additionally, the man that made my hotdog coughed into his hand repeatedly while I was there, and wasn't wearing gloves.

You would be better off buying a pack of hotdogs from a local gas station and throwing them on a grill in the nearby park, or even heating them up over a campfire. I was incredibly disappointed by this place, and I am seriously surprised their...

My husband, son and I took a day trip to Frankfort and decided we would stop to eat while there. We first went into FrankZ to grab a "drink to go". The guys had the bloody Mary's, which they raved about having a "snack" with the diced pickles in the cup! I had the frozen"adult" drink which was also pretty good. We ended up back later for lunch! The guys got the Chicago dogs,again raving about them. The gyro I ordered was one of the best I've had. The owner came over and chatted with us for quite awhile....very nice, friendly and proud of his staff!! He really appreciates not only his employees but also his customers!! But seriously - Frankz offers a good representation from the popular tenets of the hot dog universe, from your classic chili dog to Chicago style. They also offer a salads, gyros and other foods. Their fries are ridiculously good, if not dangerously addictive. You have been warned!

Their beer selection is smaller but also impressive, including your standard taps to local micros.

Service is extremely fast, and their staff is very friendly and accommodating.
