The place is good with promt and courteous service. The manager was extremely humble and polite.
#Vegetarian (10/10) Tom Yum Phak Soup- it was simply delicious and a must try. For non vegetarian eaters go for Chicken Tom Yum Phak Soup. The soup was spicy and extremely flavorful with tastes of lemon grass and chillies in it. The chopped vegetables were perfect sauteed maintaining their texture and taste.
Vegetarian Spring rolls (6/10)- These were crispy but nothing different or extraordinary.
#Vegetarian Pineapple Fried Rice (10/10) - I loved the way the Fried Rice was presented in a Half cut open Pineapple.
#Chicken Thai Curry (7/10)- I love the way they presented the curry in a ceramic Fondue pot with a Candle keeping the food warm. But I personally have had better red thai curries. This lacked flavors of basil and red thai curry paste. The chicken strips were too thin, as it almost felt like one is having shredded chicken.
#Vegetarian Dumplings Manchurian (5/10)- I was expecting steamed dumplings or fried dumplings but we got Manchurian balls instead. The Manchurian balls/ dumplings were too soft and slightly bitter for me.
#All the curries were served without rice.
Chicken Fried Rice (4.5/10)- again this was a disappointment as there was little chicken and the rice was a little mushy with a sour taste in it.
The ambience- was warm, with Buddha wall hangings and statues all over the place. It emitted essence...
Read moreI’m sorry I really wanted to like this place and was so in the mood for a nice dinner but.. did not happen. So I ordered a few dishes to try out: Tom yum; pad Thai; red curry and chicken spring rolls. I did like spring rolls. Curry wasn’t bad too. But! Tom yum I can’t even rate because I was only able to try one spoon, it was insanely spicy. Pad Thai was probably the worst I ever tried. I was home 10mins after my pickup and when I tried to poke it with a fork it was a complete brick, you could probably cause injuries if you heat someone with that pad Thai, tried to reheat it, tried to add a bit of water and reheat it, nothing worked, it was so dry I couldn’t separate any noodles at all so I managed to cut a few pieces with a knife just to see how it tasted and it wasn’t any good. Their levels of spicy is apparently their own thing, do not compare it to other restaurants, I ordered all dishes in medium and I felt like it’s burning me alive. No utensils at all were provided even though my order stated that I needed it cause I’m in a hotel for business. Fortunately I had one extra set sent by another restaurant a day earlier. I feel bad criticizing someone who maybe just had a bad day cooking but I just wanna let the restaurant know what could be improved and what...
Read moreItems Ordered: Drunken Basil Noodles (Pad Kee Mow), Very Spicy -It was not very spicy. Perhaps I should have ordered ‘extremely spicy’? -I personally found the dish very oily. I ended up throwing away a decent portion of the dish. -Really did not taste different from the side of Vegetable Lo Mein that I ordered. Only differences were wider noodles and tofu. -The portion was small for the price. -Would not order again.
Thai Panang Curry, Veggies & Tofu w/ added potatoes, Very Spicy -Dish was not spicy, at all. It was sweet. The flavor was standard for Panang Curry. It was tasty, but not what I asked for. -Charged extra for potatoes -Would order Massaman Curry instead.
Side of Vegetable Lo Mein. -Oily, small, taste was odd. Possibly due to amount of oil, which was not fresh. -Would not order again
Pad Thai w/ Beef & Shrimp, Spicy. (Partner ordered separately a few hours later) -Partner liked the flavor -Dish not cooked with as much oil as mine were. It was ordered significantly later. -Thought it was overpriced for the serving
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Expensive for the portion size: -2 dishes (charged for potatoes in curry), 1 side of Lo Mein, extra side of small Jasmine rice = $43.00, plus tip. Take out only Noodle dishes are very...
