Banglore Express — Restaurant in Franklin Township

Update: Arrogance and stale food quality, no hygiene maintenance may bring this place down. If you are really looking for edible food with some taste and a decent experience this place is a big NO. Please read the other reviews in recent time and one common thing is Arrogance, Rude behavior and stale food. According to the owner 50% of crowd visiting the restaurant is rude.. Hilarious.. They will be still laughing seeing no business and then wonder over their stupidity. If you have the video, I dare you to post to public so everyone knows your fake propaganda.

This place does not serve fresh food. Idly and vada were warmed and served. Chutneys were but sticky, sour and straight from refrigerator. I simply asked if they used microwave to warm the food as the Vada and Idly both were hot from inside and cold outside. The owner started making fun of it and more so upon providing feedback the owner started attacking back saying “do you think all other restaurants are serving fresh food?” When I stated I am going to put google review, owner started threatening “ I will see you there”.. Not sure what does that mean though, Started abusing with words like get out and never come back, you guys always come to get free food (I had first bite, provided feedback as the discussion was going in wrong direction, simply left the food and didn’t even ask for cash back) . It was the worst ever experience, I wish instead of absolute rude behavior and arrogance showed , they would have rather focused on improving food quality. For sure not going back to such place. Lastly I would say definitely owner will defend them self by saying other stories but when I reviewed other who faced similar issues it just reassured my thinking on Bangalore express and...

Longtime customer, they had been great however lately my experience has not been the same. There is no consistency in cooking. Sometimes it's overcooked(dark), it would taste bitter and sometimes under cooked. Today’s experience with Rava Masala Dosa (my usual order for last 10 years) which wasn't like 'RAVA' Dosa and batter didn't taste like usual crispy Rava, when ordering my only instructions were the same as prior orders “Don’t overcook, don't make it dark".

When I called to inform the restaurant, the owner flips on me and tells "we are always complaining" but in fact in 10 years we may have complained no more than 4 times. Couple of times order was completely made wrong, couple of times it was over cooked; bitter taste.

OWNER is RUDE, ARROGANT has BIG EGO!!! When I called today about the food he tells me “he won't take my orders going forward because I complained about their food” that’s 4 times in 10 years!! He was ready to refund for this time but what ticked me off is his threats about future orders (not that I would have ever ordered again after his RUDENESS and ARROGANCE as a owner)... It’s not always about money for customers when food is cooked wrong as a paying customer it’s their rights to inform. Mistakes happen and can be forgiven however when you behave so RUDELY and THREATEN customers there is no excuse. Hence, it’s important to provide honest feedback on my experience with this restaurant and specially OWNER’s rude behavior and threats to me that he will call police and sue me if I provide negative feedback!--

Terrible experience:

Overall experience here was a bit disappointing. Customer service is okayish. The lady behind the counter is not much bothered. However, an old man working there is extremely sweet and friendly. Food is nothing out of the ordinary. Bisibelebath had too much of garam masala in it. It’s a southindian dish, we don’t pour in garam masala in it 🤦🏼‍♀️ Navaratna kurma barely had any veggies or dry fruits. It was more of a regular paneer curry with a tomato base. Idly chutney, sambar was a disaster. They serve regular rice idlys in the name of Rava idlys. Sambar was decent but chutney had gone stale. Sev puri was the only decent dish on the table! Wouldn’t go back, wouldn’t recommend. Plus it’s partially a self service place (better if mentioned online).

Edit: You leave a review on google you get a defensive response! Instead of a simple apology the owner prefers argument!

I would have mentioned my feedback in the restaurant if at all anybody was bothered to be around ! Since it was a “fast food restaurant” (as told by the owner, as per my knowledge it wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the restaurant) there were no waiters around. And the cashier was least bothered about the customers anyways. The restaurant would have been reviews better if the owner would spend more time in the restaurant than on google reviews. It takes the right critic to judge the authentic taste, probably not many passionate foodies have visited the restaurant, the one’s who have visited here; haven’t had the authentic...
