Hong Kong Garden is the kind of place where you kick back and savor some seriously good eats. I gotta tell you, their Steak Kew with black pepper sauce? Mind-blowingly amazing. The steak? Cooked to perfection, juicy and tender. But let's talk about that black pepper sauce – it's like a flavor party in your mouth. It's got just the right kick, not too spicy, just enough zing to keep you coming back for more. Now, we're not talking about a fancy-schmancy place here. It's a relaxed spot where you can chow down on fantastic food without having to put on a tie or fancy dress. You know, the kind of place where you can be yourself and enjoy a great meal. And it's not just about the food – the vibe here is welcoming, the service is friendly, and it's the kind of spot where you can just hang out with friends and have a good time. So, if you're looking for a laid-back spot to dig into some killer Steak Kew with black pepper sauce, Hong Kong Garden's got you covered. It's the kind of place where you'll want to keep coming back for that tasty,...

Just moved to Somerset and I'm always up for good Chinese food, however it's hard to come across. Either the food leaves a lot to be desired or the cleanliness is questionable or BOTH! But Hong Kong Garden is fantastic on both levels. The food was outstanding, perfectly cooked and generous portions. The restaurant was well maintained, the mens room was spotless!!! You can tell they care about and take pride in cleanliness. A bonus for me was the level of service I received...Men Yi, was the young lady who took my order and she was on point. She greeted me with a smile, walked me through my order and accommodated every request. All around great place. I know it seems like I'm gushig over a Chinese restaurant, but for those who know how hard it is to find a great place to eat Chinese, you'll know what I mean. Stop in, say hello to Men Yi...

Great Chinese food in New Jersey! Flavourful and tasty. I’m surprised by some reviews here saying the food is bland —I wonder if they ordered white rice or I’d be concerned about their taste buds. The orange chicken is delicious, cooking style is similar to sweet and sour pork where the chicken is deep fried with a crispy batter before coating with a sweet orange sauce. The owner suggested reducing the sugar level for the sauce as we prefer something more savoury. Taste was well balanced and chicken was juicy. Soup was great. Love the crunchy noodles that came with the meal, they were freshly deep fried and didn’t taste stale. The batter was also lighter than other shops which made it a great snack. Service was warm and genuine. We would definitely return if our travels bring us back...

This place is close to my wife's work location and gets good reviews from her. I have eaten here throughout the years was never disappointed. When we first started coming here, my boy was still a toddler, now he is in graduate school, this place is still an old reliable stand-by. The setting is not the fanciest but either is the price. Even after COVID, the price change has really been very reasonable. The same family runs this restaurant seems like forever. There has to be a reason a Chinese restaurant can survive for twenty years with the same ownership. The food is well seasoned, with pleasant texture, and served fast. The best description for this outfit is liken it to a cup of Mom's chicken noodle soup, pure comfort food.
