Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Franklin Township

EDIT UPDATE: GO FOR THE DRINKS, AVOID THE FOOD, unless you want to be ripped off for really gross food. I recently ordered a large Popcorn Chicken and a large Fries w/ Diced Onions. The Chicken was completely overcooked, dry, and cold. The container was missing a decent amount of chicken. The fries were old, soggy, and cold. The cherry on top is that they could not even get the sauces right that were requested. See photos.

Old Review: Go for the drinks. They are 1/2 price right now. The food is subpar for fast food. I was not expecting a lot, but this did not meet expectations. There are better fast food options really close buy that also have good deals and make better tasting and hot food.

Pros: The mobile app is convenient to use. Not a long for food when you get there and check in. The service was friendly. The drinks are cheap right now since they are 1/2 price. The 2 for $5.00 deal is okay for burgers and some other items.

Cons: Food was lukewarm, at best, when I arrived, which was about 12 minutes after I ordered. The staff does not read the tickets closely. I asked for mayo, the Sonic Special sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper, and hot sauce. I received 4 packets of ketchup that were stuck together w/ syrup and 1 Special Sauce for 6 burgers, 1 large french fries, and 1 large french fries with cheese. That was disappointing since I ordered to go and needed those condiments. The burgers were really dry. The fries were not great since they were not warm. Cannot modify the items on the 2...

If I could give ZERO stars, I WOULD!!! This experience was by far the WORST of all my fast food encounters; EVER!!! For starters, I waited 20 minutes, after pushing red button, to place my order. After placing order, I waited 40 minutes before I pushed the button AGAIN to see what the hold up with my order was. After waiting that long, someone responded, "we are coming out with your food now." Only to wait another 20 minutes before I rang the red bell AGAIN!! Someone responded with " I'm sorry, we are closed". I said how are you closed and I ordered and paid for my good already!? After another 10 minutes, I went to the door. They tried to give me at least 3 orders that weren't mine. Finally, after waiting in the pouring rain for another 10 minutes, they bring my order out. HOWEVER; it was HORRIBLE! It was mostly wrong, and Every last item was cold as if it were sitting for at least an hour! I couldn't even take it back inside because at this point, they were closed. Lastly, the manager was AWFUL in assisting to find a resolution as to what happened to my food!!! Finally I'm not even hungry anymore because I am past livid!! I NEVER thought I'd say this, but before I go to this place again, I will go to...

Went here regularly for months and enjoyed the drinks and food... Until one day I ordered a chicken sandwich.

The order was taking some time, so we pulled off to the side. I don't mind waiting for good food.

But I got home, took a couple bites, and found that my chicken was raw in the center. Not undercooked - RAW.

I brought the remaining sandwich back and they offered a replacement, but I didn't trust those same people to cook me food that can cause severe problems if not fully cooked. I asked for mozzarella sticks because I was hungry and figured they would be safe. I got my money back, but nothing to eat for dinner. Thanks?

I followed up online with pictures because the lack of concern for serving raw meat was discomforting. I later got a call from the manager (?) saying the chicken sometimes takes a long time to cook and the center may be underdone. no explanation as to why a longer wait got me raw chicken. I was told I could come back and get a free meal...

But I haven't been back. I can't trust their kitchen. And as a bonus, now I'm worried about all chicken pieces I order from anywhere.
