This was by far the worst chili's experience I have had! First, we reserve our place in line online. When we come in, we see signs posted to skip the line and reserve online confirming this. BUT when we see the large amount of people waiting (20 people maybe?), we got worried and quickly asked about our online check in. To which we got the response their chilis doesn't participate in online check ins. Why does it let you do it then for your store and why have signs posted? Well that's OK so we move on waiting for everyone to be seated , for them to get to us (not long maybe 15-20m).
Next we get a nice waitress who starts to collect our drink orders. Forgot 1 drink order no problem. Is patient while we figure out our order. We order and we think all is well.
Food starts to come out and realize that our salads were never brought out as our appetizers. We asked for our salads. Relized, they also didn't have salt or little plates, no biggy ask for those. Needed refills asked for those. Have not received anything we requested at this point but had to eat as food would get cold. Half way through our food they bring salads made incorrectly, to which we kinda let them know. They said our bad and took them back saying the correct ones would be out soon. Finally getting some refills but never got all of them mainly waters not the coke. They did bring salt shaker, never got little plates for the appetizer plate of mixed food but after we pretty much finished it told them never mind the food is gone. Asked about salads several more times still nothing.
After about a hour and finished all our other food there was no point. We talked to a manager who name was Caleb apparently about since they never brought our salad them being removed from the bill. He said if he did that it would break the deal and charge us more. He asked if we wanted them to go or replace them with chips and salsa. We asked for 60s to talk about it and for him to come right back as we didn't want them to go as they wouldn't be fresh and we don't care for chips and salsa. He said he would be right back.......NEVER DID! We had to tell the waitress after waiting at least another 15m and they still only brought 1 thing of chips even though they were suppose to replace 2 salads.
Asked to speak with manager at the host stand about still not getting corrected, but he was still too busy. We asked for our other bag of chips and left.
This was absolutely unacceptable service from a staple family sit down restaurant. We were told about there understaffed issues and other problems, but that should not be taken out on the customers.
I believe that the options offered were just quick cheap options the manager wouldn't really have to make up for. I do NOT believe these were accommodating to the terrible time we had. When the situation gets this bad , I believe regardless of the other problems going on, a manager should make time to hear the customer out and offer accordingly to the issue and stay attentative to that table being taken care of. Read morePassing through on our way back from Florida and going home to Illinois where we have frequented several different midwestern locations over the years and have always received good service and great consistent fun. Imagine my surprise when we received really crappy steaks not cooked right. I ordered mine medium well which a little pink in the center is OK, but my sirloin came out with one side cooked and another side raw. The server took it back to the kitchen after I tried to say it was OK, I would have just eaten around the rare part and left it. But the server insisted that if it wasn't cooked to my liking she would have the kitchen do it right. She brought it back after about five minutes and it was still raw in the center but getting very done on the outside. I still wanted to just eat the steak but the server insisted she take it back. Then the manager came out from the kitchen and said "I heard we're missing the mark on getting your steak right?" It was nice he was trying to make it better and he said the he was going to comp my meal, but when the steak came out it was cooked to death. It was very well done and that's not medium well, but I understand in the restaurant biz if you send stuff back you're going to pay for it. My friend's steak was supposed to be medium rare and her's was cooked more medium well but they weren't concerned about her not happy with her steak. It wasn't just how the steaks were cooked wrong, they just weren't very good quality meat. The sides weren't very good either. My friend ordered roasted vegetables which were spinach and tomatoes and the spinach didn't looked grilled at all, just dry and wilted. Read more1- We went to this location in hopes it would be better than our last bad 3 experiences at the other location in Franklin. We had gift cards from corporate due to those experiences. Last night (Sat) was awful. We came in at 7:30 to a half-empty restaurant, yet still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. I assume they were short-staffed because there were several dirty tables. The waitress "T" was friendly at first but messed up our drinks. Not a big deal if that were all. Our food was good but she never brought a few other things we asked for. We never once got refills or checked on again. I actually quit eating my meal because it was too spicy to continue without a drink. It looked like she had only 3 small tables and they were seated long enough apart that she couldn't have been rushed. (I pay attention to this sort of thing before complaining). When we were ready to go, I had to find another waitress to find ours. Not sure if she said anything but it took telling a 3rd waitress we needed help before T showed back up at the table. She sullenly handed us boxes (but not a bowl for dip or to-go drinks we had asked the other waitress for), and our check, never apologized or offered anything else. We were paying gift cards & cash, so we couldn't use that stupid kiosk. She never returned to check about payment so guess what, we couldn't get change and she didn't get a tip. That's the first time in memory that we didn't leave one for a server as we rarely have issues anywhere else, and we eat out A LOT.
