It was my birthday celebration and everything went terribly wrong the minute we entered the Cool Springs Cheesecake factory. We walked into the restaurant at 6:14 PM and told them of our reservation at 6:15 PM. They made us wait till 6:27 PM. What is the point of a 6:15 PM reservation if they are making us wait till 6:27 PM? When I went up to her at 6:27 PM and told her that I’m waiting for my reservation she looked at the computer and said "oh I’m sorry, your reservation has been canceled since you were not here at 6:15 PM." I looked at her at disbelief and said "we have been waiting here since 6:15 PM. You told us to wait here." Immediately her associate quickly reminded her that I was right and told her to take me and my family to the table. She quickly changed her demeanor, smiled at me, took out four menus, and asked us to follow her to the table: not once did she apologize for her rude behavior and her mistake. The nightmare continued as we waited and waited for our waiter to show up. There was a previous guest's stab still on our table. When our waiter finally arrived six minutes later, she apologized for the tab on our table and then quickly took our drink order. I told her I would need lime with my water. She came back three minutes later with water and no Lime. We immediately gave her our full order and the next time she returned was 14 minutes later to fill out water and let me know that she could get the Lime because the bartender was backed up, At that point, 28 minutes had passed since we walked into that restaurant. We asked her "how hard was it to get one Lime?" and then we found out that she had just put in the order six minutes ago. At that point we decided we do not want to sit there anymore and we got up and left. We told her to cancel the order. I met with the manager Beth and told her my story and my experience and all she could offer was an apology. I mean, we were right there. She could’ve offered to sit us at a new table and give us better customer service, but she just apologized and had nothing tangible to show for an apology. I will wait to see how you respond to this email of mine. In three weeks. at the beginning of my semester I will be standing in front of close to 100 students. I will definitely share with them this experience of mine and I can only imagine how many others these students will tell in the Greater Nashville area about your restaurant. I’m not in it for the money, I don’t want any gift cards - I just WANT AN APOLOGY from the Restaurant. You have ruined my birthday. We planned this two weeks in advance. We were so excited about coming and you ruined my birthday evening. In the least, you should do what my 19-year-old son told me on the way back "The cheesecake factory should at least reimburse...
Read moreI made reservations two days before going to the cheesecake factory. I was with my friends celebrating life because I am terminally ill and only have 2 weeks to live. When I say this was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant nothing else has ever compared to this. Everything started out fine. I ordered orange chicken and asked if I could substitute for grilled chicken and substituted the snow peas for broccoli. My friend and I was going to split the entree. My other friend ordered the fettuccine. An hour later they brought my sisters fettuccine alfredo. The noodles were dry and undercooked and stuck together and the sauce was runny and clumpy like it was some kind of gravy. She sent it back. In the meantime we asked where our orange chicken was. The waitress said there was a mixup in the kitchen and brought us some small salads with ranch. It was not edible. The ranch was thin like soup and the taste was of pure garlic. After another 15 minutes our orange chicken was brought. It was a joke and looked disgusting. They had one small chicken breast a small portion of noodles and a huge head of broccoli. I asked the waitress was the dinner portion or lunch. She said dinner. It looked disgusting. I asked for a manager because it had been 90 minutes. The manager was very rude and asked you want to see me? We showed him what we were brought and how disgusting it looked. He agreed it didn't look appealing. My friend said she wasn't in culinary school but could have did a better job. The manager said he would take it to the kitchen and show the staff. The manager NEVER came back to our table. They brought my sister chicken alfredo out stilled clumped up and nasty. She ate about 4 bites and said it was still nasty. I told the waitress I had a couple of free cheesecakes on my account. She asked me for my phone number. After another 20 minutes we decided to leave. She brought my cheesecake and said she would bring our ticket to settle up. I said ticket for what? I asked for the manager again. Two hours later I had nothing to eat but the hard bread and half a glass of sprite. Manager never returned. She brought my cheesecake which I didn't want. We called it a bust. We just got up and left. Amazing that while leaving we were accosted outside by another assistant manager who then could talk to us. We explained our situation again. He apologized and said maybe you could try us again? Never will I eat at that location again. The waitress took both of my free...
Read moreThis was a very relaxing location. We took our time. I highly recommend going here if you are wanting to take your time. There are a lot of things to experience with the indoor scenery, the menu, the cheesecake flavors, the people watching, and even shopping if you want to do that too.
Parking was decent, not a terribly long walk from a mall parking lot. The entry way for requesting a table gets crowded quickly. I believe they do make reservations. I did notice a small amount of seating available while waiting for a table.
Outdoor tables have umbrellas and a view of the parking lot. I believe they had patio chairs and tables, all some type of metal. The outdoor seating did not look that comfortable. Outdoor looked ideal for people watching, or old friends and nice weather.
Inside was a romantic atmosphere with soft yellow lighting and some decor. Booths and tables with chairs were both available as options for indoor tables. This location seemed much less cramped than the Green Hills location. There were tables quite close together and then there were little booths for a quiet, romantic date night. We really enjoyed the hidden booth near the very back.
The waitress/waiters were all very respectful and patient, even offered suggestions for our meals. Suggestions were great for their book of a menu.
There's a display case for viewing all of their many flavors of cheesecake you can choose from. It took a while to decide, so you may want to look at the different flavors online before you go to the restaurant if you aren't wanting to take your time.
The only reason the atmosphere was four stars was because it is connected to the mall's public announcements speakers. While it's convenient for shoppers to shop, dine, and shop some more? Hearing "the mall is closing in ten minutes" is unsettling; especially on a first date.
In my humble opinion, this location is great for lunch, an early dinner, or for a third date. Once you've established some common boundaries before being startled by the mall's overhead paging system, it may be something to laugh about when someone jumps at the loud sound that you can barely understand because it echoes.
Overall this was a great first date for us. I hope that we can go back again soon. It was special for...
