Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Franklin

1] Double cheeseburger - very expensive. Patties were thinner than SteaknShakes. Their grill is set at too high of temp. Hamburgers are burnt hard concrete charr on outside - in-edible, and raw in middle - due to too hot of grill. Cheese on it had no flavor at all - cheap imitation cheese-like product.

2] $5+ Hot fudge sundae, very little hot fudge brushed lightly on bottom only. Ate nothing but vanilla-like icecream, with no flavor, .....then, at the very end, we finally saw a little bit of brown stuff and got a hint of chocolate at the very bottom. For that much money - where's the fudge?

3] Expenisve cola - a large size here is considered a small at other fast food places. Dr. Pepper, even at that price, had zero flavor.

4] Fries are sub-par, over salted, tasteless, tiny-thin and yet still undercooked - oil not hot enough.

5] Sundae's: They replaced the regular nuts that belong on the hawiian sundae that my spouse ordered and put a different type on it because they ran out of the nuts that really belong on that type of sundae and they did so without even notifying us! We only found out after my spouse began to eat the sundae and we called to complain - which, changing the type of nuts without informing the consumer could be dangerous for someone who may be allergic to specific type of nuts and -fatally harm them; thankfully my spouse was just mislead and disappointed.

SUMMARY: This place tries to be a combo of SteaknShake and McD's, and fails at both. Extremely high prices for small tasteless proportions that are also ill prepared. Will never go back because we can get better tasting food, prepared correctly, that has flavor, bigger proportions, more quality products, and cost less - elsewhere.

Highly expensive chocolate custard was good - but, just as good, and cheaper, can be found 1 mile away at different...

Bad food and unfriendly people

This is my second trip to Freddy's and MY LAST. First visit I ordered a Chili Dog..extra onions and NO CHEESE. I was eating indoors and it was the first time I had been there. Service was really slow but since it was lunchtime I didn't think much of it. Finally, after 35 minutes they called our number and there is my Chili Dog, covered with Cheese. I was not thrilled but I told them to please correct the order. They did and after another wait I was able to eat but by then the fries were cold.

One month later, I decided to try the drive-up. There was only one car outside and one in the drive up. I was in a hurry so I went to the drive up and once again. One Chili Dog and fries, Extra ONIONS....NO CHEESE. After a reasonable wait, I got my order and pulled into a parking spot to check my food. The fries were piping hot but once again....a chili dog covered with cheese. Once again....I got in line, waited until I could get up to the window. When they opened the window, I opened the box and showed the girl that this had cheese and I ordered it without. I waited patiently and she handed me a big bag and once again...I pulled up and checked my food. What they served to me I can only say I wished I had taken it straight to the Health Department!!! I seriously looked like someone either puked on it or they pour a glass of water on it after they put some chili on it. My only regret is that I handed it back to them and told them to keep the money and the sandwich. It was not fit to eat. I did take a picture and send it to my friend and saved it for the review. I don't know if the cook was trying to be sarcastic or they are really just sick people but I do know one thing. BEWARE of the FREDDY"s in Franklin. That food does not look safe and I wouldn't trust it ...much less spend my...

As a disclaimer, I’ve already complained on the website/to corporate and was offered a free meal which I used at another location. Only rating so others are aware of the service at this location.

Ordered the French Onion burger after seeing it for the first time and learning that it was a limited time burger and is going away soon. I was so excited to try this burger only to end up severely disappointed. First of all, every worker there looks absolutely miserable. And I get that. I don’t like working and I don’t work food service for a reason, but it IS possible to be miserable and still give good customer service, believe it or not. Second, for a burger I was so excited to try…..it was utterly disappointing. It had a dime size squirt of sauce, no caramelized onions, dust for crispy onions and no bacon. The “I don’t care about good service” was strong here, and I don’t even know how you could MAKE that and think “yep. They’ll love this!”. i probably will not be back to this location. The only GOOD thing I have to say is that they heavily seasoned the fries with the fry seasoning and those were delicious. I tried Freddy’s again at a different location and that location was very light on the seasoning and I didn’t think they were as good. The fries at this location are seasoned better in my opinion and I’d come back just for the fries but I’d never order another steak...
