We had a great time eating an early dinner tonight. It was our server first night and she did excellent. We stared with pretzel bits with cheese which was a happy hour deal and sweet tea, water and Shirley temple. For meals we had the Belgium burger, chicken sandwich and kids cheese quesadillas. All the food was hot and quickly served. Overall food was yummy and I would recommend this location.

Read moreMy wife and I have been going to ML Rose in Melrose for almost a decade, so we were very excited to see one open up in our neighborhood. Be warned, if you are expecting anything resembling Melrose you will be greatly disappointed as we were. 30 minute wait time was understandable, but we were more than irritated when our waitress didn't visit our table for almost 15 minutes after being sat. Beer and burger selection is severely lacking from the other location. Waitress did not ID my wife or myself, we are both in our early 30s. We both ordered cocktails and neither of us could taste a hint of alcohol in them so either they use Top Shelf in their house cocktails and don't advertise it, or more likely the bartenders don't know how to pour. Do not order the cocktails you will be disappointed and overcharged for the weak drinks. Fries were cold upon delivery and they were out of the sides we wanted to order. Both my wife and I took 1 bite of our burgers, and immediately aske for a check to leave. Burgers were incongruent from menu descriptions, entirely missing some ingredients while others were substituted or added. I've had plenty of burgers of the week at Melrose and Charlotte, but both hers and mine were so far below par it's almost hilarious. I am not exaggerating when I say I've had better burgers from McDonald's. What a disappointment. My wife and I were ready to make this our regular date night spot, but now we will be avoiding this place like the plague. This location is unworthy of the ML Rose name, and I would ask it's owners to put some major work in with this location as to limit the damage this will do to...
Read moreNEXT UPDATE - We finally got around to trying again and I'm increasing to four stars. Food was great again. Service was much better. Atmosphere was good for a sports bar on a trivia night - not really our thing and was kind of loud, so we probably should have looked that up first. That's not on the restaurant, so I still give four stars. Service was much better than last time. We might even go back. I really appreciated management's commitment to win a customer and retain a customer. Oh, and I like dark beer–they serve a leather jacket porter (Edmunds Oast Brewing Co) that is AMAZING!
UPDATE - I followed up with email not expecting anything really. Surprised and delighted that they are truly wanting to deliver great food and service and working to recover a customer with a bad experience. I'm convinced to try again.
We watched all of the tables around us getting great service from a great server. Our server checked on us briefly a few times but never offered to refill drinks. She was rather bland. The burger I ordered was great. The salad we ordered was not great - overcooked chicken. Nachos were great. Quesadilla was good. Checkout was strange. The server stands and watches while you decide on a tip. Very awkward. I selected the lowest option on the screen (18%). Looked at the check later online because it seemed like a pretty big jump from total + tip. They calculated the tip based on the total + appetizer (that was free) + tax. I find this to be misleading. When I see a $52 check jump to $69 from tax and tip it makes me question it. Tax is only $5, so we ended up really paying a 23% tip on...
