We had a great time eating an early dinner tonight. It was our server first night and she did excellent. We stared with pretzel bits with cheese which was a happy hour deal and sweet tea, water and Shirley temple. For meals we had the Belgium burger, chicken sandwich and kids cheese quesadillas. All the food was hot and quickly served. Overall food was yummy and I would recommend this location. M.L.Rose Craft Beer & Burgers opened its Franklin, Tennessee location on July 15, 2024, at 3084 Columbia Avenue, revitalizing a former Chili’s building. This marks the fifth establishment for the Nashville-based chain, renowned for its laid-back, neighborhood pub ambiance and dedication to quality burgers and craft beer. The Franklin venue features a covered, heated, dog-friendly patio, a turf area, and a two-sided outdoor fireplace, creating a welcoming environment for sports enthusiasts and families alike. Inside, an L-shaped bar seamlessly connects to the patio, enhancing the flow and atmosphere of the space. The menu boasts dry-aged, pasture-raised beef burgers sourced from Porter Road, signature waffle fries, and an extensive selection of 36 local and craft beers on tap. Weekly specials include two-for-one craft beers on Tuesdays, team trivia on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., and happy hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. Weekend brunch, served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., features two-for-one mimosas and Bloody Marys. Located off Columbia Avenue in Franklin, TN, this craft burger restaurant has a menu of some unique hamburger and sandwich options. I had the GOAT burger which is a turkey burger with goat cheese, pesto, lettuce, and tomato served with waffle fries. The burger had great flavors. The fries were crispy and salty. I would get the GOAT again! Hubby had the Jamburger which has a red pepper jam and crispy onions on it. We both ate some of it and both of us thought it was “okay.” The red pepper jam was more like a salsa flavor to us. Hubby was VERY impressed with their craft beer selection. He is a big fan of brown ales, and they had four that he sampled before ordering the Middle Ground Brown Ale. Our server was very friendly and helpful at first. After checking on us right after our food was delivered to the table, she never checked on my water/refilled it. I finished my meal with nothing to drink. They sometimes have trivia nights but the night we went was not one of them. They have a Friends trivia night coming up on January 27, 2025.

Dined here this evening on 8/15/24. We were a party of 2. Atmosphere was fun and it was trivia night. We anticipated the food to be as enjoyable as the atmosphere… we were greatly disappointed. I ordered the Strawberry Fields Salad and a dark craft beer, the beer was enjoyable but the salad did not quite fit the menus description, not a single candied pecan and the vinaigrette was not very good. I let our waitress know about the pecans and she brought out a small condiment size of what appeared to be plain pecans. Needless to say I didn’t eat very much of this salad. There was no offer to make it up only an offer of a to go box and I did not take the salad. We did however take home half of a patty melt sandwich and received a free appetizer from using the QR code. That was a nice offer for signing up on their rewards program.

My wife and I have been going to ML Rose in Melrose for almost a decade, so we were very excited to see one open up in our neighborhood. Be warned, if you are expecting anything resembling Melrose you will be greatly disappointed as we were. 30 minute wait time was understandable, but we were more than irritated when our waitress didn't visit our table for almost 15 minutes after being sat. Beer and burger selection is severely lacking from the other location. Waitress did not ID my wife or myself, we are both in our early 30s. We both ordered cocktails and neither of us could taste a hint of alcohol in them so either they use Top Shelf in their house cocktails and don't advertise it, or more likely the bartenders don't know how to pour. Do not order the cocktails you will be disappointed and overcharged for the weak drinks. Fries were cold upon delivery and they were out of the sides we wanted to order. Both my wife and I took 1 bite of our burgers, and immediately aske for a check to leave. Burgers were incongruent from menu descriptions, entirely missing some ingredients while others were substituted or added. I've had plenty of burgers of the week at Melrose and Charlotte, but both hers and mine were so far below par it's almost hilarious. I am not exaggerating when I say I've had better burgers from McDonald's. What a disappointment. My wife and I were ready to make this our regular date night spot, but now we will be avoiding this place like the plague. This location is unworthy of the ML Rose name, and I would ask it's owners to put some major work in with this location as to limit the damage this will do to...

NEXT UPDATE - We finally got around to trying again and I'm increasing to four stars. Food was great again. Service was much better. Atmosphere was good for a sports bar on a trivia night - not really our thing and was kind of loud, so we probably should have looked that up first. That's not on the restaurant, so I still give four stars. Service was much better than last time. We might even go back. I really appreciated management's commitment to win a customer and retain a customer. Oh, and I like dark beer–they serve a leather jacket porter (Edmunds Oast Brewing Co) that is AMAZING!

UPDATE - I followed up with email not expecting anything really. Surprised and delighted that they are truly wanting to deliver great food and service and working to recover a customer with a bad experience. I'm convinced to try again.

We watched all of the tables around us getting great service from a great server. Our server checked on us briefly a few times but never offered to refill drinks. She was rather bland. The burger I ordered was great. The salad we ordered was not great - overcooked chicken. Nachos were great. Quesadilla was good. Checkout was strange. The server stands and watches while you decide on a tip. Very awkward. I selected the lowest option on the screen (18%). Looked at the check later online because it seemed like a pretty big jump from total + tip. They calculated the tip based on the total + appetizer (that was free) + tax. I find this to be misleading. When I see a $52 check jump to $69 from tax and tip it makes me question it. Tax is only $5, so we ended up really paying a 23% tip on...
