Maks Roast Beef and Breakfast — Restaurant in Franklin

I am going to preface this by saying I have never reviewed a restaurant before, but I had to post this because of the exemplary service my family received from this restaurant, and If I could give more stars for service I would. My family has some dietary restrictions that make ordering difficult ( one vegan one milk allergy) we called and placed an order for a pizza with half cheese and half no cheese just sauce. The restaurant called to confirm the order and we told them the reasoning. Shortly after they called back and let us know that unfortunately they checked with the chef and the pizza sauce had Parmesan in it. We sincerely thanked them for letting us know, and said we would order elsewhere. Right before we called another place, the restaurant called back again. They had called back to tell us that the chef was making a new sauce with no Parmesan in it so we could get the pizza we wanted. This level of customer service is unheard of in this day and age and it will not be forgotten, they have made a family of customers for life. The number one thing is the food and service as I had it delivered.. so I think I just gave it two or three stars I'm not sure. they delivered three times and they used to go and still do have food gotten from the Norwood store. I was excited that this one serve breakfast. but the eggs were flat not fluffy like a lot of the good omelette restaurants. it was cold in February and I ordered a lot of soups. Chicken noodle mostly but it had a strange kind of like went bad flavor. it may have been the seasonings but I had to throw it away. smell like a chicken was old. and their roast beef is what most people come there for and one time it was very good. but two times it tasted soapy like it was old. I still wanted to try it again because the place in Norwood was so good and fresh. it wasn't sad disappointment. I only complained about the soup. because I'm usually giving excellent reviews as I produced for 17 years the "LETS ALL DINE OUT" ,TV show. we have reviewed over 3400 restaurants and eateries from east to west coast and a lot in between. and it was very sad to not have a good experience. The delivery service as we once had it was very poor. and that's very sad. I hope they improve...

I have been getting take-out from Mak's Roast Beef weekly for many years. The food has always been great and I loved getting meals there. I don't know what changed but the last two times I ordered the food was horrible. Recently I ordered an Italian Cold Cut Sub, which is usually delicious with high quality meat, not this time. I could tell at first bite that something was wrong. The bread was burnt to a crisp and the meat was not what they usually serve. It was salty and chewy with no flavor whatsoever. The sub went into the trash. Since their food had always been good I thought they were just having an off night. The next week I ordered Chicken Salad, which is usually creamy and full of flavor, not this time. The chicken salad consisted of large, rubbery, chunks that I could barely chew and were so salty my mouth started to burn. That went into the trash as well. I'm so disappointed that Mak's Roast Beef is now serving low quality food. I can't keep spending money on food that goes into the trash. Sadly, I will have to start looking for a different...
