Terribly disappointed don't even want to give it a one star but that's the lowest offered! Have been going to this location for years, I believe through four ownerships, almost 30+ years. I have never been so discusted with an eating experience in the majority of my 60+ years of of my life. My family and I (and that would include a 3 year old grandchild) went to this establishment to enjoy a peaceful night out for Father's Day after a long day of travel, and left infuriated with the owner of the establishment and his friends gathered in the outside dining area. The wait staff/bartender, was great, very personable and friendly; buts that where it ended. As we settled in with a drink and ordering our food our grandson went to play in the horse shoe pits that haven't been used in years, to play with the safety cones over the stakes, and we didn't think about it at all, until the owner started to yell at us about the grandsons behavior and that he was concerned the child would impale himself on a stake. We apologized and got the grandson to replace cones and leave the area. As we were eating dinner the owner an his associates were loud and obnoxious, using the F bomb every other word, talking about beating on people, and getting upset at someone rather verbally about not knowing how to shoot a gun. Upon our departure I approached the owner to state how disappointed I was about the vulgarity and such, and how they ruined our dining experience. All I got from him was his discust about my grandson and his supposed concern for my grandsons safety playing in the horse shoe pits, he even stood up to challenged me with by puffing up his chest. I informed him we would never come back to eat at his establishment again, and...
Read moreI was staying at the Staybridge suites and wanted some beer and wings during the NCAA games. I walked in sat down waited 15-20 min. The bartender a tall slender gentleman looked at me twice in the eye but never came over. The gentleman on the photo below couldn’t have been concerned with any customers because his side work was very important. I left after not being acknowledged at the 30 min. mark.
I feel like if you are not local; they do not want your business. However; when I got back to the hotel; three men staying there said how was your food at the Bowery? I was surprised they knew I was there, then they said they noticed me sitting by the door . I told them about not being acknowledged and leaving with out ordering after 30 min. Then having to go through the drive through of cousins subs as the alternative. So maybe they just don’t like acknowledging women. In any case; I have a lot of business to do up here in the next few months; I’m looking forward to visiting another establishment.
The total irony was I had 100 bill in my wallet I was planning to leave for a tip because it just seemed like the place that would appreciate it. Wow...
Read moreIt's a bar that makes me feel at home. You kind of get that look when you first walk in from the locals but once you settle in its all good. The staff is really good and will take care of you. They give you total respect as a customer. I've been there about a half a dozen times and the food is better than your average bar food. In fact what I have had has been great. The pizza is really awesome. Once I was sitting at the corner of the bar eating pizza and the woman next to me wanted to trade a hot wing for a piece of sausage off my pizza because she really like their sausage. This is a bar that would fit into any small town in Minnesota with 2 bars and a Catholic Church or any larger city on race weekend (like Indy). I can ramble on but I will end it here with "It's a...
