Newer kabab house where the old Korean/Chinese place used to be. It is half self-serve - you order at the counter, and they will bring the food out to you. We tried to help by bringing the plates back to the counter when we were done, but I think we are allowed to leave it at the table.
There is nothing awesome about the interior. They might want to put up some decoration at some point? But most importantly, they need to give their tables a really good scrubbing, or use tablecloths. It's sticky.
Customer service was nothing to wow at, but efficient.
Food was awesome.
Beef kofta - if you get this per skewer, it's 4. My favorite. Very tasty.
Chicken tawook - hubby's favorite. (it's like chicken shish kabob. I think kabob refers to beef, and tarok refers to chicken) On the two occasions he had it (part of the mix shawarma grill plate) it was moist and flavorful. Nothing worse than dry chicken, but this one was perfect.
beef shish kabob - very good, but not as flavorful as the kofta (which should be more flavorful by default, lol. It's like comparing steak to sausage)
arabi chicken - I never had this dish before, but it was quite yummy. They make good chicken!!
baba ghanough - ok, but I've had better. I like to order this because I'm not a huge fan of hummus, but actually, their hummus is comparable, so I wouldn't pay extra to get this again (I mean the hummus that comes with the plates)
Rice - meh. And not because I'm on keto. I LOVE mediterranean rice. Before going keto, I would get a plate to share with hubby, let him have all the meats, and I'll just eat the rice. When they're good. Here, nope.
Overall, meats are good, but the sides lack a...

Upon calling for takeout a half hour before close, I am brought confidence and encouragement that my order will be ready in 10 minutes. Thank you for taking such good care me every time that I order.
Finally, after trying and comparing the Baklawa from Shwarma House and Kabab House, the latter’s offering is much more desirable, with a traditional rich buttery taste and hearty layers of chopped nuts. Do ask for a piece or two of Baklawa with your meal!
I also strongly recommend both the sparkling fruit + yogurt drinks just to the left of the register. After enjoying these refreshments multiple times, they are an absolutely delicious addition to the lamb chops and other freshly grilled meats.
Crystal clear bright sign easily seen from the road is a perfect and memorable emblem for this excellent and traditional restaurant. Thank you so much, and looking forward to seeing...
Read moreWow. This was my FIRST but definitely not my LAST. I came here once when it was a different restaurant, but this was by far much more superior. The atmosphere was so nice and the party that was there when I picked up my order was eating like royalty. Their food looked so damm good that I wanted to join them. Let's get to the meals I ordered the gyro for the wife which was much different then other places. Meat was thick and juicy and well seasoned, the salad that came with the gyro was super tasty and the garlic sauce was so good I bought 2 extra containers. I myself had the Arabi Chicken Shish Tawook and man was that so good. The fries were really good and cooked perfectly. Last but not least, big shout out to the owner for hooking me up with the baklava. If you're reading this you know who I AM. Thanks for an amazing meal and big ups to the whole staff. Honestly skip Oakland Gyros and come here. All smiles and happy...
