No frills dining establishment that was still very comfortable and pleasant. They would have 5 stars on atmosphere if they could dampen the sound as it gets extremely loud when busy. But they still get 5 stars overall.
Service was outstanding. There was an error on my order, but they were very apologetic and fixed it right away. Mistakes happen. We're all human. It's how you correct those mistakes that tells people who you really are - and they are great. We had the unfortunate experience of having someone who was very visibly hungover or still drunk seated near us. Not the restaurant's fault, they're just filling tables. This guy made zero attempt to get to the restroom. Just picked his head up from the table, leaned out into the isle (couldn't even be bothered to face the wall on the other side of him) and just started throwing up. Next to all the other diners around him. Paused with plenty of time to get to the restroom and just started throwing up again. Their server was demanding (after several requests) that he go to the restroom, but he wouldn't budge. After another round of vomit she ordered him up and he finally got up and went. The servers were all so apologetic even though they had no control over this entitled a*hole's actions. They brought their check to them even though they hadn't eaten anything yet. Just gave them their check and to-go boxes. The employees all handled themselves well when dealing with this situation. They were left apologizing to everyone in the area for something they had nothing to do with. They are all very much appreciated.
On to a better topic. The food. It was delicious. Mom got the Maple Chicken Salad Sandwich with a side of Fruit. I got the Corned Beef Melt with Fries, and I also ordered a cup of soup when I learned it was Creamy Chicken and Rice. Oh my gosh the soup was SO good. Very creamy and very flavorful. So often the creamy soups places serve are a bit bland, but not this one. I wanted to take a quart home. Mom really enjoyed her chicken sandwich and I really like the corned beef melt. Unfortunately we were only part way done when the vomit show started so we lost our appetites. We took the rest home and she texted me later that she had her leftovers for dinner, and I had mine for lunch at work today. Still tasty - though I was missing the soup. So good.
I recommend you try them out for a casual bite. They don't take reservations for under 8 people, but you can get on the waitlist as long as you will arrive within an hour and a half. When I put us on the list there were 11 parties ahead of us. By the time we arrived it was down to 6. But since the other 6 parties had not arrived yet, we were seated as soon as we walked...
Read moreI had the pleasure of hosting my daughters baby shower at Mimosa this past weekend. The entire experience from start to finish was a success. I found Mimosa’s owner Apostoli a pleasure to work with from the first moment we met. He strove to meet every expectation I had for the day. There are some people we meet that just have the gift of hospitality. Apostoli is one of these people. Each time we got together or spoke on the phone he did everything he could to answer all of my questions and reassure me that my needs for the day would be met. He has a staff that has this same attitude. The room that Mimosa has available for group events holds up to 50 people and is bright and cheery due to one wall full of windows. There is a private entrance to this room as well as bathrooms a few feet away that are separate from the main restaurant. Mimosa provided white table linen that added a nice touch and we were given the freedom to decorate any way we wanted. Although Mimosa’s can offer a nice breakfast buffet for this room I was allowed to put together a small mini menu of my favorite choices from their main menu. On the day of the shower all food orders were taken and the food arrived very quickly. Once the food was ready things got somewhat intense as the staff worked very hard to get everyone their plate while the food was as fresh as possible. I noticed it was all hands on deck, and this all happened on Mimosas busiest day of the week with a full restaurant! Even Apostoli was involved with helping to fill drinks and make sure everyone was satisfied. My food choice was their chicken salad sandwich. This was the most delicious chicken salad I had ever eaten including my own recipe. I heard someone at my table describe it as decadent which isn’t the typical way one would describe chicken salad. It is served on a gently toasted multi grain bread. I want to refer again to the efforts made to serve the food fresh. My multigrain bread for my sandwich was actually still warm from being toasted. This is pretty impressive knowing the kitchen was working on 50 lunches for the shower plus their regular customers. Everyone seemed very satisfied with their meal. In the past 3 years I hosted 2 bridal showers and 2 weddings. I can say with confidence that Mimosa’s room fee and menu prices are very reasonable. I also found more freedom with being able to decorate as well as being allowed to bring in a specialty cake for the occasion from a licensed bakery! All of the little perks of this venue added up to a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend Mimosa’s for any small...

This place is hopping on a weekend brunch time! We had reservations but still had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation time to get seated. A little better planning would be appreciated, but it was totally understandable given how busy they were.
Our server, Sarah, made up for any misdemeanors. She was happy, pleasant, efficient, prompt, and just so friendly! made us all feel good and well taken care of and appreciated, despite the longer wait time on the food and seating.
Pollo Picante Omelette This was refreshingly better than I had thought it would be. It wasn't as "Mexican" as I thought it would be. The cheese omelette was soft and fluffy, and it was topped off with sauced up sassy chicken. Pulled chicken. It wasn't dry, and made my tastebuds happy! I liked it better than the 3-meat version, which is heavier. This one was light and fluffy!
Shrimp Omelette Huge pieces of shrimp inside, a beautiful omelette almost like a blanket cover with avocado slices on top. Pretty presentation.
Three Meat Omelette Quite yummy, but pretty heavy. I wish there was an option to add a bit of kale or spinach (or some kinda veggie) to add a little layer to the taste.
Chicken and waffles Of all our orders, the most meh of the bunch. Waffles looked dry, and chicken was mediocre. Plus it was chicken breast, not chicken thigh (it says so on the menu). Gotta say, it was definitely a less heart-clogging option than the southern version, with caramelized waffles topped with fried chicken thighs smothered in sausage gravy. But not as tasty.
French toast Gorgeous presentation, with cream and berries and powdered sugar. Friend who had it told me it wasn't as tasty as it looked. She was happy she was sharing with the shrimp omelette.
Chicken Souvla bowl with chicken and veggies, topped with yogurt sauce, then topped again with eggs your way. Friend said it was good. Didn't try... but I'm not sure.
They also have great mimosas... duh. We didn't get any at this visit since we had some religious activity afterwards, but I've had it before and will...
