For whatever reason I am just now getting around to trying to The Eastern Peak, even though it has been high recommend.
I came to the Franklin location a couple of days after Christmas Day after the lunch period around 2:30 pm. There were several people seated but not too crowded. I was sat immediately.
They have an extensive menu that is appropriate for an Asian fusion restaurant. Several starters, four different soups, various types of salads, stir-fry, fried rice, noodles, curry, grill selections and an extensive and varied sushi menu. They also have a fully stocked bar with four different beers on tap. (I didn’t try anything from the bar)
I ordered the Lettuce Wraps with chicken and the Roll Roll Combo which included four pieces each of California Roll, Spicy Crab Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Crunchy Shrimp Roll.
The Lettuce Wraps came out in a reasonable amount of time. They used Romaine leafs for the lettuce and they were fresh and crispy. The chicken mixture was hot and extremely flavorful and savory. The Roll Roll combo came out at the same time and the rolls were nice and cold and crisp. There was a freshness to the fish and the mixture of the spicy rolls that were definitely made to order. The presentation of both dishes were very well done. (Anyone that follows me knows presentation is not big on my list).
If you are in the Nashville, TN area come check them out. They are a local chain with 4 in the area as well as one in Murray, Ky and one in Paducah, KY.
Well worth stopping in. I am looking forward to coming back and trying something else from their menu!

Read moreMy wife and I stopped by to have dinner here today (08/14). We have been here a few times and like the ambience and the food so was hoping to experience it today as well.
Unfortunately that was not what we experienced. We had a bad experience with the server. We got there about 6:40 pm, were seated and placed an order. At 7:05 we asked the server if she thinks we could get out by 7:30 since we had another appointment.
The typical answer would be that she could check and let us know. Instead the first thing she says is "I don't know. I don't work the kitchen ". Like don't we know servers don't work the kitchen? Then she shrugs her shoulders and says I can check.
After a few minutes she comes back and says "I'm sorry I can't tell you anything else or how long it's going to take. As I told you I don't work the kitchen. You came here after everyone else so it will take time. Should I cancel your order or box it?".
I was honestly appalled at this attitude and asked to cancel the order and walked out. This could have been handled better! We were not confrontational and were polite because I know that service workers are under a lot of stress. But it's almost like an excuse for boorish behavior that we have to just suck up and deal with!
Maybe one rotten apple in their work force but left me with a terrible experience...
Read moreOur food was delicious and our server was extremely attentive and warm/friendly. The decor is beautiful and sets a nice tone.
Note: it is a bit noisy so if you’re wanting a quiet dining experience, this may not be the best fit.
The ONLY reason I can’t give this a 5 star rating is due to the 2 hostesses. We were seated in the front of the restaurant and had a clear view of the front door and host stand (we didn’t mind this, it was busy). However, both ladies were clearly talking about people as they left the restaurant (a lot of “judgy” looks between the two of them as patrons would leave the restaurant). There was one couple specifically that appeared to have a large age gap and the stares/facial expressions sharing between them after the couple left was such a disappointment to watch. Regardless of the age of these two hostesses, this behavior is unprofessional and unnecessary. I hope it is addressed. Kindness is free to give and is heart-filling to receive. And this world...
