I visited Dublin roasters recently and unfortunately had a really poor experience. I am a tourist in Fredrick and I am from Dublin, Ireland so naturally I was keen to know the origin of the name. After ordering a flat white I asked the lady behind the counter about the name and where it came from. I was met with a pretty rude and abrupt answer as she told me bluntly โI am not the ownerโ
When I received my coffee after a 15 minute wait I was more than disappointed. The coffee was watery, cold and there was basically no taste of coffee at all. I brought the coffee back up to the counter and asked the barista if she could put the coffee in a smaller cup so perhaps I would get more of a taste of the coffee I came to try. She suggested that she would just heat up the unsatisfactory coffee that I had already been given.
She then offered to remake the flat white with an extra shot and also said she would put it in a smaller cup for me (which she did). Unfortunately the second coffee was given to me in a takeaway cup and again there was no taste of coffee from it.
I felt compelled to leave a review so I went back to the counter and asked the woman at the counter for the WiFi password so I could get online. When I was asked I was answered in a pretty rude manner.
I really am not one to normally complain but I must say that the overall experience was massively disappointing as this was a venue I had earmarked to visit on my trip...
ย ย ย Read moreSecond time at DRC. Very friendly service. Smoked Salmon Bagel perfect twice. But for me the biggest down fall is getting a fresh and hot coffee. Twice my coffee was warm no matter what coffee pump it I used. While eating my bagel a male came out 3 different times within 3 or 4 minutes with a fresh pot of different coffee and added the new to the old. Now ive not read the owner entire speel on how the owner traveled the world. I had to change my stars from 5 to 1 because First your a coffee shop! it should always be HOT AND FRESH I think your coffee system needs updating get new coffee urns that are heated. This style is like a gas station brew!. Possibly change the coffee station where you have electricity to keep the one thing you boast about FRESH QUALITY COFFEE. I could not give you 5 stars because your system is like I said a gas station coffee pump coffee. And pouring fresh coffee on old is so tacky. Cold inside no heat no ambiance The staff is all thatโs going on. I would not recommend your shop for a decent coffee experience. And this I thought about coming up from where I live in Germantown but 7-11 has freshly brewed and decent coffee as well as Dunkinโ Donuts. I actually was not thrilled by the coffee blends. I love a great coffee but all considered if your coffee is of great quality I donโt get it coming from your coffee pumps! Maybe freshly brewed different but enjoy the experience of going out for...
ย ย ย Read moreThis place was my favorite coffee place when I lived in Frederick 5-6 years ago. After I moved from Frederick I would stop by once or twice a year to pick up some Honduran beans.
On 2/10/22 I stopped and picked up one pound of Honduran and verified with the staff that it is light roast. The next day when I opened the bag I noticed the beans were medium dark and when I grinded and made a pot of coffee, it was obvious that this is not light roast. The brew was dark and had a hint of tobacco instead of the distinct sweet caramel flavor.
I called the store and told them that I suspect the wrong product was packed in the bag and left a message for the owner, Serena to call me.
Having not heard back after 3 days, called again and this time I was given owner's private business number. Left another message 2 days ago and never heard from her. I tried giving her the opportunity to make a wrong right but I guess she doesn't care!
I live 50 miles away, which means 100 miles drive and 2 hours of my time to go back to the store. Poor customer service. ...
