JR's Pizza — Restaurant in Frederick

After reading reviews we decided to give JR’s a try. First of all the review that said they had to wait to be seated is bull. It’s obviously open seating. The review that said the pizza was cooked from frozen is also bull. I watched them flip and spin dough. Anyways pizza was great. It was super hot and fresh out of the oven. Amount of sauce was good. Good amount of pepperoni. The crust tasted good and not like cardboard. It may have had a little too much cheese for me. But that seems like a silly complaint. And we paid $13 for a 16” pizza. I am going to be honest, I was not feeling the vibe when I walked into this spot, but I was craving a steak and cheese sub. I get the sub and it is like nothing I have ever seen under the name of steak and cheese. The bread was like a ciabatta that was 5 inches wide and 10 inches long. I gave it a try and I am not going to lie is was legit. I would have loved some more of the earthy flavor to come through with the mushroom but for a fast food spot this was definitely a good find. I'm just traveling through but I would not be surprised if they remodeled the interior, cause it is not a vibe. Def...

My family stopped here for dinner last night after being on the road for several hours heading midwest. What a pleasant surprise! The customer service was top notch and atmosphere was relaxing and cozy. My son even got some energy out playing with their little basketball game before we got back in the car.

We are vegetarian and were able to get delicious bean tostadas with avocado, quesadillas, and cheese bread. I didn’t get the employees name but I truly appreciate their hospitality and how they treated us like family. I will remember this place next time we pass...
