I know people like to complain about negative experiences, but I try my best to equally rave about my good ones. I just called Ayothaya Thai in Fredrickson to thank them for the amazing Thai food we had the other day. We used to eat Thai food several times a month and since developing my anaphylactic mammal allergy (Alpha-Gal), eating out in general is terrifying and a huge risk, so I’ve been extremely limited in where I feel safe going. I felt brave the other day and really wanted to try Ayothaya since it’s been years and I remember they always took their GF standard seriously. I called and the host reassured me that they cook the chicken separately than the red meat and will not cross contaminate my food as they always use a clean wok for each order prep. I doubted that they’d be successful (because I’m that sensitive) but still hopeful, I ordered. I promise you that even the slightest bit of cross contamination would have destroyed my night, but instead I had a full belly and happy smile on my face. We will be back again and again so long as they keep these standards up!

My wife has extreme gluten and dairy allergies and this is one of the reasons we eat at this restaurant. Because of they're gluten free options. This is the first time to the 176th location we have always eaten at Meridian, and they are extremely friendly and accomadating. I have not even tried the food yet tonight because I am in the parking lot dumbfounded by my servers attitude. She seemed to get annoyed when we asked for the dish to be gluten free. We do not know the ingredients so obviously we must ask for each dish. This order was made over the phone for pickup and for that 5 minutes the call was very uninviting. The servers tone seemed to just be annoyed with the requests. Then when picking up the food again she seemed annoyed, when I asked if our drink was made with coconut milk. These can be deadly allergies and we must be sure. Every other time our visits have been great food good as well. Just this once our server Nui was not very pleasing. This is not to bash the restaurant hopefully she will read this and will understand the seriousness of people allergies and there concerns.
