Went for take out dinner tonight after a long July 4th getaway and was pleasantly surprised how good this place was. I am definitely one who takes into account of reviews before deciding on a place, was a little concerned about getting bland food or a rude customer experience. But all that I read online wasn't true at all. Was welcomed as i entered and the lady up front had excellent customer service and my order up and ready to go quite fast. I ordered the orange chicken&teriyaki chicken combo and a triple combo(5 spicy) and by far that was some good food. The orange chicken was tender and the tempura breading wasn't soggy at all and the added orange slice made it taste just right and the teriyaki chicken was nice and tender as well with everything in the triple combo. The spicy level was good tasted like the chili garlic paste and some gojuchang it gave some heat but had really good flavor with the sautéed onions and green onions. I could barely finish all the orange chicken and I have plenty of food left over so the portions are well worth it. The only down side was the price of the menus are pretty dated but from what I found, most things are just a couple bucks more, which I understand after this last year. Definitely will be coming back here and recommending it to friends here around the...
Read moreUsaully get it via Uber but decided to stop in today. Their rice is not very good but I order noodles anyway. This place has the best noodles imo. I have tried every teriyaki-chinese-pho spot from 176th to 512 between Pac Ave and Meridian, and many beyond. The sweet n sour chicken and kung pao come with plenty of sauce and are always delicious. They are light-handed with the teriyaki sauce for some reason, but luckily, I always order extra sauce because I like mine drowning in it. The customer service was typical cheap asian food type-of-service, not sure what others are expecting. The shrimp fried rice was AWFUL do not get that! The shrimp may have been bad, dunno, didnt eat much of it nor will I ever order anything with shrimp in it (Fry Pan is my go to for fried rice because they have bacon fried rice). Luckily everything else I have ordered has been delicious, and the up charge for extra meat is a bargain. Cost $37 for 4 eggrolls, sweetNsour, and kung pao when u order extra meat and substitute noodles in lieu of rice. This feeds my family of 5, 2...
Read moreUpdate again! Once again great! Yay! Still busy so definitely call your order in ahead if you can but the food quality has GREATLY improved!
Update about 6 month later: Definitely better then before, went during a non busy time and got my food fairly quickly. Still skimpy on the sauce but a nice large portion of chicken. Spring for the extra sauce and go during a non rush time and it's not bad.
I see I'm not the only one. Used to be great, some of the best Teriyaki around. Now you can even call it Teriyaki... Undercooked chicken and dry white rice is about all you get these days, I swear they only put 2 teaspoons of sauce on the whole meal. Disappointing. Update: it's been a few months so I'd thought I'd give them another try. Called my order in 15 minutes before I went to pick it up, waited in line another 15 once I got there and they said it would be another 15 to 20 minutes once I got to the register... Do yourself a favor and go to Ayothaya next door. Much better food and much faster and...
