I drink DD coffee every morning. Not because of convenience, but simply because DD's coffee is the best tasting coffee I have ever had. It also doesn't upset my stomach like some coffee would (coffee that is made with bad beans, or sits on the burner for too long) and it also gives me that caffeine buzz I need in the morning, but without any jittery feelings. This DD is trying something new, which I am starting to see at other locations, they allow the customers to make their own coffee via a coffee bar, and then the customer just needs to pay. I thought this was great until they stopped using fresh brewed coffee. What they do is, they will brew a lot of coffee very early in the morning, then use that to fill up these large Air Pot coffee dispensers. They then refill pots on the burner that are used by the customers to make their coffee, with the coffee that is sitting in the Air Pot. They also will use this coffee to make any drive-through orders or any orders that the customer asks for (instead of making it themselves). I like the whole idea of "Make your own coffee bar" but I don't go to DD for that, I go because their coffee is simply the best. And although it does have a lot to do with the actually bean and roasting process, what really makes a cup of coffee good is it's freshness. DD fresh grinds coffee right before they brew it. They also brew it using very, very hot water. When you leave it in an Air Pot, the flavor & aroma chemical compounds naturally in coffee degrade. DD makes good coffee (or did at at least) because they made it fresh.Filling up a 3 gallon Air Pot and occasionally putting a new pot into it when it starts to get low, leaving coffee that could be an hour old still in the container, is not making fresh coffee.
This DD location is completely ruining the thing that makes DD so...
Read moreIt’s one thing after another with this place. The food is fresh, but the quality is awful, because the employees mess-up everything. The staff is always very nice, but they make a lot of mistakes and they don’t take pride in doing their jobs correctly. I’m sure their own personal orders are made just fine. It’s really shameful considering the prices the owner charges. This is my Boston cream donut. They usually put it in the bag upside down, but today they wrapped it in paper so the icing is on the tissue paper instead of the bottom of the bag. For a short time, they had little boxes that they put the donuts in and they were perfect. It will be interesting to see if this location lasts now that consumer habits are changing and people are working from home. I won’t miss them, if they go out of business. The 2nd picture is a toasted croissant, which was so cold that the butter couldn’t even melt. I was told I have to ask for it extra toasted, which we all know means it will be intentionally burnt. “Toast is bread that has been browned by exposure to radiant heat. The browning is the result of a Maillard reaction, altering the flavor of the bread and making it firmer so that it is easier to spread toppings on it. Toasting is a common method of making bread more palatable.” - Wikipedia. In the event this Dunkin actually reads this review, the 3rd picture is what customers expect when they ask for something...

I had to go disturb the conversation the employees and manager were having to busy socializing to have someone take orders. On top of this both her and I had coupons and neither of those coupons were properly scanned by the employee. I decided to to speak to the manager and he has the audacity to say it’s not our problem it’s corporate. What ?? My response was it was your employees error not corporates . And he said he was not able to do anything about it . Truly it was not the $2 discount it was the principle . Even if the manager would have been apologetic and offered something for his employee mistake to show they valued the customer . But instead he walked away . Than one of the employees come and said “sorry we weee just to busy “. What ??? Two customers online myself and the other woman ??
