Excellent, Italian, foods and delicacies from one of the few remaining family owned and operated Salumeria's in New Jersey. They carry all dried and cured meats you would find in any New York City Italian Deli; as well as take home meals portioned for singles, couples and families. They even carry a selection of Italian cookies, pastries, and they make cannoli, for you, fresh on the spot to keep them from getting soggy.
Their homemade dishes are so much like they were made in my own kitchen that I have used their catering services for weddings, parties, families mourning the loss of a loved one and I order every year, at Christmastime, sending lunches and/or dinners to family, friends, and even my Doctors' office staff, throughout the holidays.
It's a great way to 'cheat' a tray of food when attending a party where everyone brings something. I can't begin to tell you how many people have asked for "my" recipe, for a product purchased at Rosario's.
Tommy (owner) or Anthony (Manager) can help you with any order and any budget (don't be shy, you can even let them help you choose by telling them how much you want to spend) over the phone, and if all this weren't enough?? They deliver throughout Central Jersey.
I used to go to Little Italy, in either The Bronx or Manhattan, for my cultural delicacies, but no more, Rosario's hits the nail on the head every single time. I have never been disappointed shopping there for nearly 10...
Read moreHorrible customer service and rude. I called in for a simple breakfast sandwich, the lady said no honey. Then a long pause. I replied, excuse me, I just wanted to order 1 sandwich for pickup, she says ,no, we are busy with Christmas orders. No breakfast today. Ok. I don't understand how they wouldn't throw 2 eggs on the grill for me. But if thats their choice. Maybe it's a thing in the food business, but don't be so short and rude with me. And honey? If I called a lady that, they might be very upset. Anyway, it worked out for me, I found a place just down the road , that took my $$ with a smile, they were nice and the food was excellent, it's subs on 1 side , breakfast on the other side. Locals probably know what I mean. Im only here 2x per week for work. No more Rosario's for me ,...
Read moreI want to go back and try something different here. I'm not gonna knock this place, as I've only been here one time, but I was a disappointed in my chicken parm sandwich. I always hear great things about this place, and honestly, when I walked in, the food smelled incredible, but my chicken parm sandwich was bland. The sauce was definitely tasteless. I'm sure this place has great food and sandwiches. Maybe I was just there on an off day. Even though this place lacked flavor you can taste how fresh the bread, meat, and cheese are.
Conclusion: everything they make here is fresh and high quality, so ask what their specialties are. Definitely would recommend based on...
