Amia Bakery — Restaurant in Fremont

Not sure if they're still in business but here's what my experience was yesterday: I called them last week to order an eggless cake for my mom's birthday. The phone always goes to voicemail. So, I left one. The following day (should've been a red flag for me already), I receive a call from a very tired sounding voice who took my order, along with the message to be written on the cake. I told the person to please get the cake ready by 3pm on the birthday, to which I was told that is fine. Now, on the birthday, I started calling them to see if the cake was ready. As always, no one picked the call. I called numerous times and left voicemails but to no avail. Realizing the shop closes at 4pm, I left my work meeting in between at rushed to the shop. I reached there by 4:02pm and the shop was closed. It is the next day today and I still haven't heard anything from them. I am appalled by the unprofessionalism of this business. Even if they were going out of business, at least, they should have the courtesy to let the customer know and not try to ruin someone's birthday 🤷‍♂️ Luckily, I was able to find Cakes n Bakes nearby who promptly got an already prepared lovely eggless mango cake ready for me with the requested message within 3 mins. Anyways, I'll be sure to stay away from this business while also making sure I spread the word about their exceptional...

Order birthday cake for moms birthday in advance.To my surprise ,when I got there in pouring rain ,the girl at the counter told me ,I called to cancel the order .I was like really ! !! Then why should I be even here so I decided to take bigger size of same version cake ( which was not needed ) with a pinch of salt coz I needed cake of my mom choice so she said bigger size cake is three $ dollar so I basically ended paying double the amount ( coz of her fault ) since I was charged twice for cake ,once before n one now all coz some stupid cancelled my order n some stupid charged me again for a new cake .I was like really is this happening . I am still surprised how a bunch of non brainers running a bakery who has got nicest review ,for being the best bakery in whole Fremont area .Such a shame.

Opened the cake for cutting and it had a moulded strawberry as topping so had to throw all the cake coz of food...

Truly disappointed with the birthday cake I received. I cannot complain about the taste, since it did taste okay. The icing/cream on the cake was extremely messed up, and why would I get a single strawberry on a mango moose cake as the deco? This was the most untidy cake I've ever seen being made for an order. I told the cashier that this is not what I wanted and not what I had ordered for the deco on the cake and if they could fix it since it was for a surprise birthday party. The girl said "no we can't because we have so many other orders in line". Very very unprofessional. Well don't take so many orders to the point where you cannot maintain quality. I've had cake slices here before and honestly they tasted good. But do not recommend for birthday cakes. At least when they charge so much the customer expects some kind of quality, and specially on the appearance of the cake if it's...
