1.5/2 It’s my first time getting so upset about customer service.

Pros: The stars are all for the taste. skewers tastes good. Food are good. Except sliced potato which is way too thick, almost half an inch (1.5cm). Hawaiian chicken skewer is too dry. Vermicelli with clam taste plain like cup noodle soup. Otherwise everything was good.

Cons: LONG WAITING. I understand this is a new spot and waiting could be long. After we were seated and placed the order, it took 45 mins to serve the first skewer. Meanwhile nothing to eat except water and soft drinks SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. I complained about waiting for too long after 40mins. The two unfriendly waitresses 两位中年女性服务员were very unhappy and kept “educating” me that this is a skewer place, it takes time to cook unlike a fast food drive thru. Like I haven’t been a skewer place before? OKAY. Finally food was served after 45mins waiting. Then the waitress said “now the food is coming,. Do you still think we serve very slow? Are you happy now?” 原话是“你看看现在上菜多快。还慢不慢？现在不慢了吧？吃都吃不过来了吧？不饿了吧”I can’t believe I’m FORCED to pay 18% tip for this kind of service.

TO THE OWNER OF THIS PLACE: please do proper training to your staff before having them to serve. Hope other customers won’t experience the same. Won’t come back again...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Oyama BBQ, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight! From start to finish, this place left me impressed.

First things first, let's talk about the "Zibo Barbecue Small Cake." Wow, just wow! These little bites were the perfect accompaniment to the grilled skewers. The combination of flavors and textures made every bite a true delight. I can't recommend these enough; they are a must-try!

Next up, the grilled eggplant and crispy chicken bones. Both were simply fantastic. The eggplant had that irresistible smoky flavor, and the chicken bones were crunchy and full of flavor. If you haven't tried these yet, you're missing out.

But here's the kicker - they are introducing a new item, the coconut pudding. And guess what? You can try it for FREE by sharing it on your social media! Trust me; it's worth it. This pudding is a game-changer. Creamy, coconutty, and just the right amount of sweetness - it's a dessert lover's dream.

So, if you're in the mood for some delicious barbecue with a twist, Oyama BBQ is the place to be. The Zibo Barbecue Small Cake, grilled eggplant, and crispy chicken bones are not to be missed. And don't forget to save room for that coconut pudding. It's a hidden gem, and you won't regret it....

I recently dined at this Chinese BBQ restaurant and wanted to share my thoughts. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, and I had the chance to try several of them. The Roasted Chicken Wings and Roasted Lamb Waists were okay. They were prepared decently and met my expectations for what you’d anticipate at a Chinese BBQ spot.

However, not all dishes hit the mark for me. The Roasted Pork Belly was a letdown; it didn’t deliver the flavorful punch I was looking for, and the texture wasn’t quite right. Another disappointment was the Roasted Potato. It was cut too thick, which detracted from the overall enjoyment of the dish. The thickness of the potato slices seemed to compromise their taste and texture, making them less enjoyable than I hoped.

In summary, my experience at this Chinese BBQ restaurant was pretty average. While some dishes were satisfactory, others fell short of expectations. If the restaurant could improve the preparation of the pork belly and adjust the potato slices to be thinner, it might enhance the dining experience for future customers. For now, I’d rate my overall experience as average, reflecting a mix of hits and misses...
