Finally a new pho spot in Fremont. Went here on a Saturday afternoon, only a few people here. Was greeted promptly and pointed where we could sit. After a few minutes if sitting down, we wondered where the menus were at...looking around I saw some on a neighboring table, grabbed them and checked out the pricing. Pricing was pretty standard, but it took forever for someone to take our order - seemed like they were busy putting glasses of water together and assisting other tables. Finally got our food, and it was one of the best bowls of pho in the Fremont area. With that being said, the quantities were lacking. Additional noodles is an extra $3. That would make a bowl of pho with extra noodles for $17 which is a little insane. Also, folks that came in after us got their food (multiple dishes) prior to ours arriving. Even though the food was great, I would rather travel a little further for a better...

Finally, a good legit Pho restaurant in downtown Fremont area! We've been there twice and both time, the food was delicious! The restaurant was spacious with lots of tables so we were seated immediately.

grilled pork & egg roll over vermicelli (# 25): delicious! the pork was cooked perfectly (tender & not dry) and very flavorful. The egg rolls were crispy and gooood! grilled chicken over steamed rice (#40): the grilled chicken piece was big. The meat was super flavorful and tender. fried chicken over tomato rice (#50): just ok. the fried chicken had crispy skin but a bit bland (can use some salt) but the meat was juicy & tender. The tomato rice was interesting - not much of tomato flavor but was definitely had some flavor in it.

Definitely will go here again to try...

Decent, if not generic, place for Vietnamese food. I had the pork chop with broken rice and it was pretty good. The restaurant itself looks pretty rundown, however, with a lot of the decor being leftover pieces from the thai restaurant that occupied this space several years prior to Pho Lan. The ceiling also has a lot of visible mildew and sealant or something spread around that makes it look like it's in the process of being renovated, and the overall atmosphere is slightly dull. Other than that, however, it's quite clean. Staff was super friendly, however, and service was fast since there was only one other person other than myself there at the time as it was a weekday. Overall, it's worth checking out if you're in the area and are craving...

My wife and I had dinner there last night and we really enjoyed our meal! She got bun bo hue and I got the combination vermicelli bowl with pork chop, shrimp cake and egg rolls. Of the dishes we had the vermicelli bowl was incredible - on the level of Pho Kim Long; generous portions and everything was super tasty. The bun bo hue was also tasty - wouldn’t mind it a bit spicier, and if you’re a fan of the pork blood (we are not) they don’t include it in this one. The noodles were perfect! We look forward to exploring more dishes here. Also and this is a huge plus, this is a mom and pop restaurant and I honestly think these owners care about improving. Their customer service was excellent and our meal was prepared quickly. We will definitely be back !!
