Wow, what a place! Food was delicious - the pork and crab roe XLB was warm and juicy, and the crab roe essence was much more infused than, for example, Din Tai Fung’s version of the same. I really enjoyed it. Rainbow salad was outstanding. A good variety of veggies mixed with long, soft, chewy noodles and a sesame sauce.
The service…I’m in awe… never experienced anything like this. When my rainbow salad first arrived, it came unmixed (like you see in most other pictures and on the menu). I was still texting on my phone wrapping something up, and the server came up to me after a few minutes and told me he was concerned the noodles will dry up if we don’t mix them with the sesame sauce soon. So he proceeded to carefully pour in the sauce and mix it all up for me!! Can you imagine? No one normally cares that much nowadays, but he did. And he wasn’t even the owner!
I decided to take my time and eat slowly, so I asked if I could please have a lid to keep the XLB warm longer while I munch on the salad. He brought me a lid and said that if it still gets cold, to let him know and he can heat it up again for me. Amazing!!
And then while I was eating, he noticed my napkin had been used up..so he swung by and gave me 2 new napkins and took the old one.
I gotta say the food was outstanding and will definitely be coming back… but I don’t even have words to describe my overall experience… truly extraordinary… I enjoyed the food even more because of how nicely I...
Read moreI'm pretty picky with eating out these days, especially when I really enjoy cooking. Found this place close for dinner after my son's hockey practice and in-laws visiting from Taipei. The soup dumplings were amazing. Have you ever had Din tai fun in Taipei? This is the same level quality and skill level, but bigger dumplings. If you're like me and don't like thick skin on your dumplings and wonder how they ever hold the weight of the soup and the meat without breaking, this is the place to be. Something else to try here that I've never seen on other menus is their egg plant. Trust me on this one. The egg plant is like sweet and salty thinnly battered, crispy fried on the outside and soft on the inside. We ordered about half the items on the menu to try, and each item knocked it out of the park. First time coming here, and we will be back probably every Friday after hockey practice! Atmosphere is 3 stars by no fault of theirs. The space is just really small. Worth take out though if you can't wait and...
Read moreThis was my first time trying M Dumpling, and I was very impressed, highly recommend them; and can't wait to go back!
Ingredients are fresh, and the flavors are multilayered and nuanced. The dumplings were delicious, and while I usually love spicy chili oil with them, this time, the dumplings were so flavorful I preferred the soy sauce and vinger with them or simply plain!
Not only were the dumplings tasty, but so was rainbow salad and the won ton soup-such a simple soup but incredibly flavorful and light with won tons that had a burst of flavor.
Service was also extremely customer oriented. Our server was friendly, polite, and helpful, and it was a happy surprise to be so well taken care of. She made excellent recommendations and suggested just the right amount of food. She also gets 5 stars!
They make the noodles fresh, including those in the rainbow salad.
I can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious food options and wish them every success and will be recommending them to...
