It’s such an awesome news! We have been going to Monterey Park, LA location for years and I have been waiting for it to have open one in the bay area and it’s finally here!
For this location, all staffs provided exceptional customer services. Restaurant is clean and as traditional authentic design. Love the atmosphere there and they even have the Free Kararoke bar as the same as LA. You can sing freely in the restaurant as long as you are not shy. The waitress told me they would have singer performance on the weekend to entertain their customers. Love their opening hours as well. They open until 1am in the morning, so it’s 5pm to 1am. I am sure it’s gonna be pack if you come in the later time! Probably a long wait. So better be early to get table.
For Food!! As tasty as in LA. My favorite dishes are the Giant size chicken wing ($6.99/each) and the Australia Tiger Pawn ($2.39/each), they are so good! Not to mention they are having promotion these days due to grand opening month and they are having the Australian Lamb Kekab for only $1.89/each!
It’s such another hidden gem in Bay Area and I am sure we gonna visit more! Highly recommend this place to anyone who love skewers and play...
Read moreI went to The Little Skewer last week. Overall, we had a very good experience, but there are a few things that could be improved.
Food: The food was okay but not amazing. Portions are pretty small. For example, the “10 skewers for $10” deal sounds good, but the skewers are tiny — they could almost be called “mini skewers.” We also ordered an eggplant dish that felt a bit unusual, though still fine. The single skewers (around $3 each) are more like the normal size you’d expect elsewhere.
Service: Service was excellent. The wait staff were professional, attentive, and wore uniforms, which gave the place a polished feel. It reminded me of nice skewer restaurants in Shanghai.
Atmosphere & Entertainment: The interior design is top-notch. The lanterns and decor make you feel like you’ve stepped into a fancy skewer spot back in China. They also had live singers performing classic Chinese ballads. Some singers were good, others less so, but overall it added to the vibe. If you’re there to drink and hang out, the live music makes sense.
Overall: I’d go back for the atmosphere and service — both are excellent. If you’re mainly there for the food, it might feel...
Read moreFirst time trying this place. Ordered their pork, beef, mushroom skewers and an eggplant/potato dish. There were at least 18 skewers of each with a small bite sized portion on the skewers. There were half a dozen mushroom skewers, each with one large mushroom. The eggplant/potato dish was the size of a small notepad.
The food tasted all the same. The spices used were on all of these dishes. Monotone in flavor profile. Food was average. What we ordered was enough for two people. At least service was very good. Plenty of seating. Great family atmosphere. Be prepared to smell like grilled smoke. It permeants the whole place as well as your clothes. They need to have a more powerful ventilation system since the skewers are not prepared in front of you. Overall, if you like food prepared on skewers, you may want to try this place and you be the judge if it satisfies your craving for...
