We were looking for the best place for dinner and chose this 4.7 star restaurant, but what immediately surprised me was that the dishes are served in plastic boxes with disposable utensils (fork), sushi and rolls will be served on beautiful ceramic plates, which are of course a plus for the restaurant. We ordered many different dishes, and my choice was beef in teriyaki sauce. The taste of the meat was bland and tough, with streaks that were not only impossible to chew, but also dangerous to swallow. I asked to replace the meat, but they told me that they only have such cuts and do not cook differently. But I was offered to just return this dish for a full refund. Yes, sure. After the dish was returned to the kitchen, the chef was unhappy that his dish was not eaten by the guests of his restaurant, as his indignation was heard throughout the restaurant. It was not pleasant that it attracted so much attention to me as well. He allowed himself to speak loudly in his own language (Chinese or Japanese, I could not make out), and the tone of his voice did not express joy. Sorry, I'll continue. After that, I switched to rolls with eel and here a surprise awaited me too, in each of the 8 pieces inside the roll I came across something similar to shrimp scales or shells, naturally, the remnants of the rolls had to be spit out each time into a plate. I don’t want to offend anyone with my review, I just wanted others to know that 4.7 stars are the merits of the chef and service staff, I was unlucky with...
Read moreThis place really deserves mention. We were out searching for a restaurant after 9 pm on a Thursday night and most places were closed. We stumbled upon this place by chance as it was quite out of our known area. But to our surprise it was filled to the brim. We had to wait outside for like 10 mins to get a seat. The wait was worth the while.
The place deserved the crowd since it had such great and delicious food. Beer was on the house and the waiters were very friendly. We had an amazing time trying out 5 different kinds of sushi and some starters. Our choices included chicken karaage, gyoza, takoyaki, monster roll, mj roll, firecracker roll, hot mama roll, BB roll and miso soup. Don't miss out on the miso soup, it goes extremely well with the different flavors of the sushi. To be honest, the waiters helped out on what types we would like since we aren't that familiar with the many different options provided in the menu. They even offered a second round of beer on the house.
For someone like me who isn't a die hard fan of sushi (I do like the occasional one), I will most definitely recommend this place which quite easily has a lot of simple yet amazing sushi to pick from. It was an amazing experience and we loved the food. I will definitely visit this place again in the future and recommend it to...
Read moreA pretty solid sushi place that usually isn't too busy! Owned by a Chinese family, serving Japanese food and playing Korean music is a pretty unique way of expressing the owners! But besides that, because it wasn't too busy, Service was very attentive and refills of water or tea or sake were very common! We ordered 4 rolls and a sashimi plate of 20 pcs that filled up five people very well! We also order tempura plates! The one roll I really liked was the monster roll and lion king! I really liked the broccoli and the shrimp tempuras less so the yam and potato ones. They also have regular and less sodium soy sauce which was nice. For dessert, they also have a complimentary self-serve ice cream machine that I can't really tell if vanilla or coconut on one side but it's definitely strawberry on the other! The place looks really nice too with big TVs playing cooking content from YouTube and simple wall decorations including some plants! I wouldn't mind coming back here to try more of the dishes, including maybe the takoyaki or the beef...
