Decent atmosphere. Many options on the menu EXCEPT for vegetarians/ vegans. The only thing I appreciate is the black bean patty they offer as substitution for beef on their burger menu. The food wasn't too bad...though my black bean patty was pretty over cooked which made it dry and hard. My friend enjoyed the chicken tacos he'd ordered. The service was mediocre the night I was there. The server could only answer my questions I had about the food with, "I don't know." She was not helpful. We'd arrived after 9pm and Chili's closes at 10pm. We had finished our meal and were waiting for the bill which is handled electronically on their little tabletop tablets, however, their system had "gone down." It was almost 10:00 and our server still hadn't come by to tell us there was a problem. After 10:00 we had to actually look for her so we could pay and get out of there. She said, " the system had gone down and we needed to wait for it to come back up before we could pay." We told her we were paying cash and she replied, "I can't tell you how much your bill is until the system comes back up," then quickly walked away. We thought that was kind of weird because the prices for their food are printed on the menu right next to each item. Several minutes later she walked by again to say, "sorry, I'm stuck here too." My friend told her to bring us a menu and we'd figure out what we owed ourselves so we could pay and leave. She never did. Finally at 10:30 we said forget this and decided to just put some cash on the table and leave. When she saw us stand up she came over and said, "I think your bill is ABOUT this much," and said a number. This server had no idea had to figure out in her head, on paper, or on a calculator the cost of our meal and the tax. She was completely at a loss because the computer does all of that work and the computer wasn't working. In the end WE told her what the total of our bill was and gave her the money so we could finally leave. It was ridiculous that we were made to sit there for more then 30 minutes after closing because Chili's hires people who can't do basic math and/or don't know what to do when they don't have a computer to tell them. How long were we supposed to have waited? The system might have been down all night. What if we hadn't had cash to pay with? You'd think there was a protocol to follow in such instances? It wouldn't have been so bad if the server hadn't acted as if she were the one who was being inconvenienced by having to wait on us to be able to pay so she could go home, and also if she'd simply brought us a menu, or bothered to look at one herself in order to figure out our bill so we could finally pay and leave. I was starting to feel like a hostage or something along those lines...being told we couldn't leave and we "had" to wait until the computers were working again before we could pay and leave. Perhaps Chili's hiring process should include administering a basic math test to potential employees along with a course in common courtesy and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I decided to take our family out to celebrate my husbands raise at work, unfortunately we had a very horrible experience. We walked up as a family of 6 the person at the front looked at us with big eyes and walked away without saying a word, she then returned and were assisting an elderly couple for awhile and then decided to acknowledge us by just looking at us. I proceeded to let her know we need a table for 6 she said there would be a wait so we sat down to wait (it was not that busy) Once we were seated my husband began to try and work the monitor on table to play games with out children, apparently he couldnāt get it to work so he put it on another table and we were planning to ask for another one once the waiter came. Out of nowhere this guy (manager) comes and grabs the monitor sets it back at out table and tells us how this needs to stay on out table with very rude and confrontational attitude. We said ok thank you. He came back with our appetizer (fried pickles) and slams it down in front of my husband and says hereās your pickles! We felt so uncomfortable by this. My husband instantly put his head down and began to feel disappointed š. He then comes back and slams some chips on our table on top of all our silverware and walks away saying nothing. Then to top it off our waitress wasnāt very helpful or attentive either she also had an attitude, but seemed to be very attentive to other tables, everything seemed to be very chaotic. Not a welcoming atmosphere at all. Then we somehow we end up getting overcharged. When we brought it up to her she tells us āoh I will have my manager fix itā and weāre gonna just give you some chips and salsa to go āitās freeā so you wonāt have to pay for it. Still being overcharged, and the chips were already free in the first place. We reluctantly just paid the balance so we could leave as quickly as possible. We felt very discriminated against. I am not sure whatās going on with the manager Josh but he was giving off very abrasive and unprofessional behavior and made us feel very uncomfortable with our whole experience here. What was supposed to be a special night for our family turned out to be be a very unhappy night. We will never come back to this place and will be filing a formal complaint of discrimination as I am seeing similar incidents on theses...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came in on Thursday with my family to have dinner and never again. We started off with appetizers, fresh guacamole and the queso dip. Both of the appetizers were okay but the guacamole had zero salt in it. I ordered a strawberry Lemonade and it had so much sugar I it that my stomach started to hurt. I also ordered the fajita trio and the steak, the chicken, and shrimp were all horribly overcooked and bland but overly salty at the same time. There was so much salt content in that dish that I couldn't finish it because it started to make me sick. To top this off our server Kendra was nice at first but she quickly changed her demeanor when we had to flag her down multiple times for things she should have brought out already for a party of 7. We had to ask for appetizer plates, refills, and more Napkins. She became annoyed and after trying to eat my overly salty food and finishing off the overly sweet strawberry Lemonade I was dying of thirst and needed a water so I asked my step-dad to wave to her. She took one look at my step dad waving her down again and straight up ignored him! I was so mad at the way we were treated but still dying of thirst so I had to flag down a busser to get a simple glass of water. Never again will I waste my time or money here. She had a horrible attitude and for that reason she got zero as a tip from us, she didn't not deserve one cent for her service and I'm a huge advocate for tipping all services If she was proactive in getting our table the things we needed I could have ignored the overly sweet and salted food but not with that kind of service. Go anywhere else for dinner...
