Clay Hand Studios — Attraction in Fresno

I randomly called Clay Hands because I needed help with a kiln issue. To my surprise it was a gallery and this isn't what they did. But, Nanette, didn't turn me away. She walked me through troubleshooting and helped me figure out what the problem was. She could have easily passed me on to another business but didn't. She went above and beyond to help me and I can't even express how grateful I am. I grew up in Fresno but lived briefly in North Carolina where I learned some pottery skills. When I returned to Fresno I wanted a place to occasionally throw without a membership and struggled to find an accommodating studio. Clay Hand, however, was very generous and let me throw for a small daily fee. Nanette is very kind and offered her help when I needed. Beautiful art studio in downtown Fresno! I haven't taken any classes there yet but I have visited often during ArtHop, most recently in Jan 2019. The artists there are so friendly and welcoming---even to people like me who can't necessarily afford to buy any art/pottery at the moment.
