La Enchilada Mexican Food — Restaurant in Fresno

Really hard for me not to give this place 5 stars if it was based on just taste of food it would be 5 stars. 4 pollo, 4 barbacoa, 4 asada tacos with 4 traditional chicken enchiladas. Everything we ordered was amazing, super fresh, homemade tortillas as well. However I saw on the menu a la carte large or small guacamole so we decided to get a large guacamole as well. When they were giving us our food to go there was some sort of confusion either between what's on the menu or confusion between the cook and the cashier because they at first were confused what a large would be, then proceeded to show me a huge soup bowl with a like shocked look on there face asked me if I wanted it that big. Trying to be polite I tell them you only need to do about half of that just because I'm not the type of person to try and get more than what I paid for but if it's on the menu and you offer it I'm going to order it. The food was super delicious and like I said fresh just seemed to be confusion between cook and cashier also didnt get the chips i asked for to go with the delicious guacamole so had to wait till the next day to eat it after going to the store to get chips. I came here with my family for brunch, the atmosphere was good and calm, I liked the music. The waitress was very nervous and shy and the cooks in the back kept making weird eye contact with me lol weird. The food was okay, the kids meals were Dino nuggets and regular crinkle fries something that can be made at home. My kids didn’t like there meals, only my daughter because she got a regular breakfast plate. Chips and salsa were good. I don’t have much negative to say it wasn’t like super terrible, not sure if I’d come back tho. Only thing that through me off was the waitress asked every customer including us if we are leaving a tip? I feel like we should make that choice on our own. Fresh & Homemade Authentic Mexican Food! Lovely little place! Highly recommend the carne asada tacos, the chili verde, the fresh made to order pico de gallo! Sopas are also amazing and the ceviche tostada! Lots of authentic items on the menu and everything here is delicious. Wonderful family that owns it is very friendly! Love this place! Ablondigas is also amazing! Highly recommend getting homemade tortillas with your meal, they do both flour and corn. Wonderful place! Just an FYI: the service can be a little slow, please bear that in mind. It's only grandma cooking in the back and one of the adult sons working the front taking orders and waiting tables.
