I was very disappointed in my last stay. I dont expect much from motels but I do expect clean good smelling working order room with the basics and no problems and this time around was the worst experience and for that I will probably never stay at a motel 6 again unless the next time is on them. So where do I begin. Last year I stayed at this location and I try was a good simple experience no problems. So this year being that I was coming back I decided to stay at motel 6 again and at the same location. This time was a disaster. First room smelled like mold, ac gave off a terrible smell. One light was messed up and platform to shower was cracked and floor was not clean but I didnt complain. I only sleep in the rooms so went about my evening. The next day left early and didnt get back til after 9 and when me and my wife got back our doors were locked. Apparently while we was out there was a major leak from the room above into our room which damaged quite a few of our belongings. A 100 dollar luggage and two pairs of sneakers which equals over 500 dollars retail and under attire which equals over 70 dollars. I threw the under attire out and soon after threw the luggage away. Sneakers still have but the soles are yellow and there is nothing I can do about that so the loss in me and my wife's rare sneakers is a big one. They say they attempted to reach us but only made one call attempt and didnt try for the next couple of days which the second room was more worst where the ac was worst and the shower floor was worst. My wife end up getting a cold by the morning due to the room and we were given a third room and although there was still problems we just dealt with it and decided we would take the loss. We was told mgmt would reach out to us which never happened. Nothing was done for us and when I was already back in NYC is when I called again and finally reached a manager which then the only thing offered to me was one day return of 66 bucks. I didnt want to argue so I just accepted it but told myself I will never stay there again and a review will take place. The basics need to be in good condition when it comes to people staying over. This particular stay made me feel cheap like I was in a run down hole in a wall sharing my space with drugees and people selling themselves. Work on your rooms and communication or this place will sink...
Read moreKeeping it short, checked in on Thursday, 1/17/19. I was given a nice, downstairs room, (#120), but, after a few hours, there was a constant banging by the upstairs customer, went on for hours so I called front office, security checked it out, problem seemed to be handled, but noise started back at 3 am Friday, I went into office around 7, asked clerk to come to room so he could hear, neither he or any manager, (never was contacted by any manager during the whole incident), accepted my offer. It was disturbing when the clerk said there was no record of my complaint from night before, but, he offered a discount for Friday if I was going to stay, then offered to move me to another room, as a disabled person with mobility problems, I declined the offer, I was given a $10 discount, thought it was over. It started again Friday night, security guard, (Jamal), finally heard the noise from my room, he immediately went up and to address, next morning, the same clerk I had dealt with, told me, “sorry, but too bad”, said there was no record of my complaint, I knew security asked guy to leave but, was told customer left only because office didn’t let him sleep? The fact that I was basically called a liar and treated with no respect from the front office, (never EVER received a call or visit from any manager), is why I have been stressed and disappointed and so it won’t happen to another customer, I thought to seek help and inform corporate. I would suggest some customer service training, have managers at least pretend to care enough to contact a customer. Even if it’s privately owned, it still displays the Motel 6 logo, and while its unfortunate, all complaints/dispositions, (word of mouth, social media, etc), will say “motel 6”.. thank you, I apologize for this...
Read moreStaff was very nice, room ok, too although we are not fond of the new decor, especially the containers for towels in the bathrooms. We appreciate being able to travel with our little elderly dog. However, our room location was in a covered breeze way which housed the ice machine which was used round the clock, and a vending machine, which was ok for the noise level and usage but was out of order after a day or so. People also congregated there when using their cell phones, which echoed loudly. Vagrants sought shelter there during the day as it was a rainy weekend, but didn't hang out all night, which was a relief. The most exciting moment was our first night there, when a PD team came to a room beside ours at 0230 am in a authoritative and loud attempt to serve a search warrant on the occupant! Took several minutes to ascertain whether all the yelling was good guys or bad guys! Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep any night we stayed. On a positive note, the coffee was good, and the staff continued courteous throughout our stay. Next time we come into town, we will probably go to the other Motel 6 location a few blocks down, in the 6000 block of Blackstone which is currently being remodeled, where we have stayed before, just because it seemed a little safer location. I had meant to make reservations there in the first place, but had a senior moment and chose the wrong one, which is my fault. Online, it is a little hard to tell...
