I came here on a Friday night craving seafood and I was disappointed. For people that enjoy live banda music, then this is the spot for you. The bar area has live sports playing and the live banda music which makes a fun atmosphere for a Friday. I personally don't like that music and the loudness in such a small venue can be annoying. The michelada was delicious. I appreciated having bean & cheese dip along with the salsa, which had a good flavor to it. I ordered the breaded shrimp and I couldn't believe how bad the shrimp was. It was so overcooked that I couldn't bite into it. For $16.99, I expected large prawns and good tasting food. The shrimp is already small in size and they butterfly it to make it look bigger than it really is. I asked the waitress for another order and she was nice about it and apologized. The next plate was the same situation in regards to size. This time, they were not overcooked but they were chewy. The rice and beans were good but that was about it. My mom ordered a shrimp taco, again, tiny shrimp, and the tortilla is supposedly hand-made, but it completely fell apart. That shrimp taco was priced at $5. Other members in my party ordered a carne asada burrito which they enoyed and the mojarra. I simply expect better-tasting food for the price. If you can't bother to check your food before it gets sents out, it just shows how much you don't take pride in your...
Read moreFirst time at this place and it's sad to say but people hyped it up way too much. Not even water was offered and when we got our food it took over 2 hours and I got my food last I almost told them I didnt want it. Food had noooo flavor what so ever it just tasted burnt. The only good food were the beans and chips. The waitress we got had a face like she hated her life and being there, a simple smile goes a long way. She didnt even bother to ask if we needed anything and when we asked for napkins she would only take 3 and she looked so bother when we would ask for something (so I'm guessing we all had to share the 3 napkins) I think if we had a better waitress our experience would have been a lot better. At the end the girl that split our check was a lot nicer which our table would have gotten her. She was super nice she even gave me her Cancun pen, that meant a lot. Customer service and flavor can definitely be improved...
Read moreThe food and drinks were good. However the customer service was poor. My partner and I order drinks at the same time and our waitress forgot about one of our michelada drinks. We order a 1/2 dozen oysters and less than two minutes we asked if we could have a whole dozen. Our Waitress said yes that’s not a problem. Once we got our bill she charged us for 1/2 dozen two times. It was an $8 difference from the full dozen. The waitress made up an excuse she had to charge us twice. After this experience, we will never return back to this restaurant. We used to love them following them from Shaw and 6th and chestnut and McKinley to now. The new location was a disappointment. You guys lost...
