The Burger Shack — Restaurant in Fresno

The service was super friendly. I enjoyed chatting with the gentleman working at the front counter. Very respectful and proud of their business. The restaurant looked very clean and the menu was extensive. The food was made fresh and was still hot when we got home. The portion sizing felt generous on everything except the chili cheese fries. We ordered a large and just in comparison to other similar businesses I will admit it was quite small. If that was the large I'm scared to see the small. It wasn't my order though so that was a review of my partner. As for me I ordered a single bacon cheese burger and a large fry. The fry was a generous portion of perfectly fried crinkle cut fries. I'm a fan of the soggy ones so I was honestly happy to know they there was an even amount of crispy and soggy fries. My burger was cooked well,you can tell it is a frozen burger patty but that doesn't bother me. It helps keep prices down. The toppings were all fresh and the veggies still had bite to them so you can tell quality is important to them. I was also very glad to see my bacon was crispy. Not a fan of places that leave the fat unrendered. As a ranch afficianado we had to order ranch and I will say i really liked it. One small critic on it would just be to make it a tiny bit thicker so it holds onto your fry and stuff a bit better. No notes on flavor it was great! We also ordered two desserts. A fresh banana shake and a butterscotch sundae. Both were very delicious and the ice cream was great quality for the price. You get alot of sundae for $5! Double the size of a mc flurry for basically the same price. All in all I absolutely will be returning. We go to Sam's burger alot and burger shack feels like they took their menu and made it better. I have been to this restaurant 3 different times already. I always order the Philly Cheesesteak combo with no mushrooms and extra, extra seasoning on my fries. I am even planning on going back there this upcoming Wednesday evening with some great friends of mine to introduce each of them to this fantastic restaurant. I even ordered a Milkshake from my most recent time that I was there and it was freaking AMAZING! The Owner/Cook is absolutely SPECTACULAR at what he does! He is a One Man Show that always knows exactly what he's doing. Every single time I have ordered my food, it has always been fresh, as pictured, and made to order. On top of their already excellent food on their menu, their staff always treats their customers like human beings, with kindness and respect. Even though this restaurant is located slightly in a rougher part of town, this establishment still treats everyone fairly and equally, like they are family with outstanding customer service! Anysa is a delightful worker who works there who always exhibits professionalism and compassion for others. She has a very good spirit, very kind heart, and a very positive attitude. She is efficient, hard-working, patient, and consistent. Whoever her parents are, did a wonderful job raising her right. I am very satisfied, 100 % with this restaurant's overall atmosphere, environment, their food, their service, and their convenience. *Update Ok, this place is STILL delicious! Way way better than Hodads in San Diego! We've had burgers ALL over California, and I don't know what it is, but their food just hits differently!

We ordered the Bacon Burger, Western Burger combo, chicken strips basket (they have the good ranch), 6 piece Buffalo wings and large ice cream cones. 🐽🐷🐖

Ok.. this place is Bomb! I saw someone with a house arrest ankle thing picking up burgers from here.....so that should tell you it's 100% worth the venture out of your house to grab a meal from here.

I tempted fate with a heart attack inducing Pastrami Burger, which had more mustard than what I'd normally have on a hamburger, but when paired with whatever delicious pepper pastrami they use, was perfection and worth every bite!

My guy had the Bacon Burger, which was equally yummy. The crinkled fries were a surprise treat! I can't remember the last time I had crinkled fries that were crispy AND seasoned well.
