Rhapsody’s Restaurant — Restaurant in Fresno

We ventured to Fresno looking for a great new to us restaurant, so I did a quick Google search and found this Gem of a restaurant. RHAPSODY'S, when this came up I was drawn in , then I looked at the menu O.M.G. Soul Food we called and yes they OPEN ,we on our way the lady on the Phone was very nice polite and helpful. So we drove to Fresno we arrived at RHAPSODIE's we were treated like royalty, when we entered the people were very nice polite all safety measures were met there was markings on the floor marking 6 feet ,safety shield's all wait staff were using masks and I could see in the kitchen they were masked and using gloves. To the food I had 4 piece of chicken and 2 large buttermilk waffles which were excellent fluffy and juicy chicken was perfectly season freshly cooked very juicy and season with the Cajun seasoning it was very good I could maybe eat 2 of the pieces there and one waffle it was very delicious especially when you Mix that chicken in the waffle drippings on yeah it's good my daughter had fried chicken with the potato salad and Mac and cheese Mac and cheese. Know to my wife food Chi had the fish fried combo she had the Mac and cheese collard greens which are outstanding favour very very flavorful and I don't like vegetables but I could eat those of course your fish was delicious and on the table they had tartar sauce and butter and lemon I would recommend rhapsodies it's very good thank...

Very good food! Taste homemade. Nice portions and very flavorful. Had the gumbo and it didn't skimp on the shrimp and crab. It would be nice to have one with andouille sausage but the seafood was delicious. Perfect flavor. The fried shrimp and chicken is delicious as well. Their greens with cabbage also very flavorful and the mac n cheese is homemade Southern cooking. All of the peach cobbler was sold out so I'll be back for that. The place was filled with social distancing and masked patrons the food is that good. I will definitely be back. Nice job Fresno!

Update 10/21: been back a few times for the fried shrimp. Tried the fried pork chop and have found another good menu item. Great flavor. When I doubt dry it out when it comes to pork so I'll take it. Again another homemade flavor that was great! They serve over rice and my favorite sides are the Mac n cheese and candied yams. Both are always on point. I ordered the lemon cake as the cobbler wasn't ready yet and it's Delicious too! They put cake crumbles in the icing. The cake itself is so moist and lemony it made me smile. Fried Chicken & Fish Combo with Potato Salad + Beans A solid combo plate 🍗🐟. Crispy fried chicken with juicy meat, crunchy fried fish, creamy potato salad sprinkled with paprika 🥔, and beans with a sweet-savory kick. Very enjoyable, but still in the shadow of the oxtail.
