Jimas Sushi is undoubtedly the best thing to happen on San Juan Island in a long time! As a proud supporter of local Friday Harbor businesses, I can confidently say that this place has quickly become a favorite. The sushi is nothing short of excellent, showcasing the incredible talent of the chefs who pour their passion into every dish.

The seafood is remarkably fresh, which is a testament to their commitment to quality. Each bite is a delightful experience, bursting with flavor and crafted with care. The staff at Jimas Sushi are not only kind but also bring a fun energy that makes dining here even more enjoyable.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfectly complementing the centrally located spot in town. It's a fantastic place to gather with friends or enjoy a peaceful meal. I am genuinely proud of Jima Sushi for opening their brick-and-mortar location and thrilled to support them in this new venture.

If you're looking for amazing food and a great experience, look no further than Jim's Sushi. It's a true treasure on San Juan Island!

The only good part about this restaurant was the server, he was extremely kind and friendly, and honestly gave off the impression that he might be the manager or even the owner. He was the only one in the front area who seemed to genuinely care about customer service and was actually doing his job attentively. Unfortunately, the food and overall experience did not live up to expectations. Most of the items were significantly overpriced for what they offered. The sushi roll was just okay, nothing memorable, and the soy ramen was especially disappointing—it lacked flavor and tasted very bland. To make matters worse, the small bowl of ramen cost $22, which would have been more acceptable if the quality had matched the price. The pork included in the ramen was burnt on both sides, making it even more unappetizing. On top of that, they didn’t even have all the items available on the menu, which is surprising for a Saturday night when you'd expect a restaurant to be fully stocked. Overall, I wouldn’t return and don’t recommend this place unless major...

Our table was ignored for over 30 minutes after being seated third after the restaurant opened. The Server served every other table seated after us for the 30 minutes while we sat with our menus. Another table with kids left as soon as they got seated because they asked how long we had been sitting for and decided not to risk that wait. After that table left the server came by again made eye contact with me and kept on walking. No acknowledgment or water glasses for over 30 minutes. I would have understood if she had at least acknowledged us, but to be that rude was rough and felt like she was refusing to serve us. Our best guess is that she was slammed with too many tables and chose to ignore the tables with kids. They were clearly very understaffed, but it is frustrating to go out to dinner as a family and have that experience. The hostess was very friendly to us though and the menu did look to be good. I would just not recommend this as a family friendly...

LOVED everything we had there. Started with the Crispy Rice (Tuna) and the Spicy Garlic Edemame. I also had the Mt Baker roll with salmon, and I gotta say that fried salmon was amazing. I would go back just for that! I also had the coconut sorbet and that was delicious. It had chunks of coconut and even came in a coconut shell. The server we had was very nice and helpful, though they were out of a lot of things on the menu (was a busy Saturday night). The only gripe I kinda have is that our food's timing was off. One of our starters didn't come until after our rolls (after asking about it), and one of the rolls came long after everyone else got theirs. It was all delicious and we were still happy, but the kitchen seemed a little out of sorts when it came to getting all the table served at the same time. Still giving 5 stars. Will be going back when I can afford to.

Spot by for mid lunch at like 3pm. No reservations but they said they could squeeze us in. They gave us a table on the patio. We were the only table out there. Felt like we were tossed aside but surprisingly the manager came by to check on us often and the service was quick. Ordered chicken karaage, Kara miso Ramen, shoyu Ramen and half baked roll. Chicken karaage was a terrible miss. The chicken was extra cooked almost burnt, too crunchy and hard and the salt flakes on top made the entire dish too salty. Maybe season the batter more and you won't have to add salt flakes on top. Both Ramen were fine. Chewy noodles and broth was fine. Meat tasted burnt and looked burnt. Like on a grill and charred too long burnt. Still tender though. Hard to explain. The only good dish was the half baked roll. Everything else I wouldn't order again. Maybe just stick to the sushi.
