San Juan Historical Museum — Attraction in Friday Harbor

The main gems of the San Juan Islands, Friday Harbor remains one of the few fun and welcoming islands in the SJ to tourists and visitors.. unlike some of it's neighbors (Lopez) that have turned their backs on tourists in favor of rich "private beach" zoning, Friday Harbour is a refreshing throw back to the Old Identity of what the SJ Island used to represent. 10/10 will recommend.

We started our stay on San Juan Island with a visit to this historical museum. Very well done - we were the first visitors on a Tuesday morning. The director, Kevin, and his staff of two volunteers were very gracious and friendly. We walked the entire facility and enjoyed the displays. This is a little gem parked away! Small collection of interesting buildings, many explainer boards and many neat photos.

Very nice staff. They stayed a few minutes past closing for us just so we could explore the grounds without feeling rushed.
