Harbor Song Art Gallery at Friday Harbor — Attraction in Friday Harbor

We recently made a purchase from Harbor Song, on a trip to the San Juan's. Mary is a lovely human and I appreciated her very much!

There are artists whose hands guide the creation of their art work and there are artists whose souls guide the creation of their art work. Tom and Mary are the latter. There's nothing wrong with either type of artists. This is just who Mary and Tom happen to be.

Mary didn't sell us a piece of art. She educated me on their process. Why they create what they do. Some of the ways they've drawn inspiration for their work. She let me pet their lovely dog (Dotty I do believe) and select a treasure for our home.

We commissioned Tom Garrels of Harbor Song Art Gallery in Friday Harbor to paint the Friday Harbor skyline, adding our boat, the B&B we stay in, and a float plane.

When we picked up the painting, it was everything we could hope for and more.

Tom sends you a sketch before he starts painting and then sends you pictures of the project as he proceeds in case you want to make any changes.

I highly recommend Tom. He is a great artist and a good person...

The door said open but was locked and no one was inside. We went into another gallery next door for a few minutes and had a lovely experience. We went back and the clerk was there waiting by the door so we asked if we could come in.
