I came here the other day to use a promotional meal card I received at the big lake McDonald’s, they had an extremely long wait and they handed out meal cards to keep everyone happy. When I received this card I stuck it directly in my wallet and never looked at it. I ordered a double quarter meal and drove to the first window at the fridley McDonald’s and handed the ticket to the person who took it and looked at it, she then called her manager over, the manager proceeded to swing the window open and rudely say what kinda happy meal ya want? I was surprised and said what do you mean, he was even ruder and said WHAT KINDA HAPPY MEAL YOU WANT. Then handed me the card back, I looked at it and saw that it was a happy meal card and was confused, then I looked at the opposite side of the card and it had the “happy” part crossed out on the 1 free happy meal so that it read 1 free meal. The manager at the big lake store even initialed it and wrote his name on it. I then explained that to the manager and asked him to call big lake, he told me he won’t take it. Now I’m not at all angry about the fact they wouldn’t take the card. I’m upset about how this manager seemed to power trip on me when I was being very polite to him, it almost seemed like he assumed I crossed out the happy part. I would appreciate it if you would train your employees a bit of respect. The manager had on glasses and was wearing a blue shirt. If he wouldn’t take the card that’s fine, I paid for the meal anyway. He could have simply said hey sir do you know anything about this card? I used to be an employee at a McDonald’s when I was young and I would never talk to a customer the way he talked to me, especially when I was being extremely polite to him even after he was rude and explained that if you look, the manager at the big lake store wrote his name, you can call him. The lady who initially took the card was polite and sweet, when a manager is acting like a total jerk doesn’t this set the tone for the people under his leadership? What kind of example is this going to set about how this store is run at the end of the day? He also get paid more then the person running drive through window, but she had more patience then he did. I’m just bothered by the absolute arrogance by a McDonalds manager, he seemed to be as salty as the fries. Please tell him to cash me ousside next time and not quickly run from the window after showing off and being rude, I think he was startled when I didn’t...
Read moreAs I stood in line for my $5 Frappuccino that has $0.37 of product in it. I was to witness a cashier interact with a customer. The customer had misunderstood or saw a competitors ad for breakfast sandwiches for a dollar. I thought they were getting good customer service when all of a sudden a cashier behind the counter starts to ridicule the customer saying where do you think you're going to get a sandwich for less than $3. The guy got upset did not make a scene left the building. The rest of the customers that are standing in line waiting patiently for our food and products see the cashier throw her hands up in the air with this may make a unsatisfactory face, grunt, and then proceeds to say who does he think he is where do you get a breakfast sandwich for $3. We have been selling our breakfast sandwiches for $3 for over 4 months. I told her, you guys sell a chicken sandwich for a $1.00 you sell a double cheeseburger for a $1.29 or whatever. I said $3 for your breakfast sandwich is high. She went to say something else and I told her to please stop talking it's very unprofessional it's none of our business she should not be putting the customer's information out there. She went to say something else my beverage was ready I took it from the manager and I thanked her for getting cashierless systems because people like her should not have a job she should be fired. Why is it that wherever I go I seem to catch BS like this. I would never get away with treating a customer the way that...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible experience! I informed the person when ordered about severe food allergy and specifically ordered without the allergen. I reiterated it to the Manager at the window. He said was not made without allergen and had me pull forward to wait for safe food, which is 100% fine. Food was brought out that had the allergen and could have died in the parking lot if tasted it because last accidental exposure took 3 Epipens to be conscious. I went back into the drive thru with being told "what do you want me to do? I don't make the food." I said wanted to speak to the Manager who said "You go to our restaurant, you get what we give you." I could have died due to their error and did not show any concern whatsoever or even willing to refund the money when unable to eat the food until demanded refund. The Manager suggested I "just don't go to a restaurant" rather than take responsibility for the error, apologize and simply say was an accident and will try to not let it happen again. I used to work fast food several years ago and know you do not treat the customer with severe disrespect and acting like fine you could have killed the customer. Completely unacceptable response from...
